James Lewis Passes Away
James Lewis, a resident of
Crawfordville, Georgia, took
his last breath on this earth on
March 26, 2024.
James, and his wife Jackie,
moved to Crawfordville from
Florida several years ago to
be near their daughter and
grandson, Victoria and Brandon
Lewis. Shortly thereafter
their granddaughter and
her husband, Christina and
Frederick Wainwright, and their
sons, followed. Later, daughter
Valerie moved here to help take
care of her dad.
James went to be with Jesus
after a prolonged illness and
will be greatly missed by family
and friends. His sweet spirit
projected Jesus in all he did and
said.
James will be laid to rest
in Florida and there will
be no memorial service in
Crawfordville.
Please keep this family in
your prayers as they suffer their
loss.
Victoria wishes to add this:
It is believed that rain during
a passing is a cleansing - rain
was considered good luck and if
you heard thunder it meant the
spirit made it to heaven!! We
had a beautiful thunderstorm
the day daddy died!!

Hope everyone had a fun Easter after church services Sunday
and found lots of eggs!
Rita and Ben Young, along with their family, invited Donna Taylor
to spend Easter with them after church. They had a wonderful
lunch. Donna then went to visit her granddaughter, Morgana, and
her sister, Emily, and great granddaughter Luna. They went to
Chili’s in Athens for supper.
Please keep Jackie Lewis and her family in your prayers after the
loss of her husband, James.
Melanie Forehand has a new foster baby. She will need prayers
also.
Others to pray for: Chip Stewart, who was able to come home
for a few days from MD Anderson Cancer Hospital in Houston-
he will, hopefully, receive a bone marrow transplant soon; Susan
Yearwood; Chris Griffith is out of the hospital but has to stay close
to Emory Hospital for a few weeks after her liver transplant which
seems to have gone very well. David Cochran is doing much better-
praises for that.
The Rutherford/Eubanks families spent Easter together. There
was food, an egg hunt, lots of food and fun.
Sheriff Tia McWilliams, along with her mom, Ida Jackson, went
to 2024: One Hallelujah Tour: Jekalyn Carr, at the Columbia County
Performing Arts Center in Evans, Georgia, last week.
Gwen Marked again spent another few days in South Caroline
with her new granddaughter, Ada Grace. I don’t blame her. We love
our grands and great grands, don’t we?
