The Statewide Bible Reading
is scheduled for July 14 at
7:14AM on the west side of the
courthouse in Crawfordville.
That’s a Sunday morning.
If you would like to participate,

She is trying to fill all the spots
for readers, song leaders and
those who will pray for this great
nation.

appeal to God to save our great
nation.

Movie Museum
The Historical Society is very grateful to Everett Price and Daniel
Stewart for fabricating a beautiful frame for signs listing movies
filmed in Taliaferro.

Lunch and Learn
Joe Martin, Thomas Dawson, Buddy Patterson,
Sharon Carruthers, Jane Kuehn and Renee Brown
Thomas Dawson gave a
very detailed demonstration
on compost tea and strawbale
gardening to fellow master
gardeners on May 16. The local
club meets at Nick’s every third
Thursday of the month at 11:30
fora lunch and learn. You do not
have to be a member to attend.
We have an array of interesting
speakers and topics.
The Taliaferro Master
Gardener meeting for Thursday,
June 20 will feature Kelly
Lewellyn teaching about
hydroponics and gardening
without major expenses. The
public is welcome.

outings. Here are things you
might be interested in and want
to try.
Archery Fundamentals is a
beginner’s course. Ages 8 and
up are welcome. Meet at picnic
shelter #3. There is a $10 fee
plus $5 parking fee.

33rd Annual Senior Fishing
Rodeo
Saturday, June 15, 2024
8 AM to 12 PM
This tournament will be held
at Lake Liberty. Anglers 55 years
and older can try to win prizes
in several categories, as well
as win a door prize. Register
between 7:30 AM to 8:00 AM at
the main office and enjoy some
great fishing. The tournament
will start at 8 AM and end at
12:00 PM. $5 parking. 706-456-

Photo Scavenger Hunt-all
you need is a camera or cell
phone to enjoy this fun event.
Meet at the office for
instructions and back there
when the list is complete for
goodies.

Campfire Mysteries will be a
fun-filled evening of songs, skits
and s’mores. Meet at the field
behind the group shelter. Bring

cone, and drink money. The fun
