B&J Supply adds new products
Colored Mulch for landscaping
There is a new line of Milwaukee tools-some of the best.
Bob Peters, owner of
B&J Supply, has added new
products to his extensive line
of farm supplies. He now has
gardening supplies and animal
feed for any critter you might
have.
There is mulch for
landscaping, fertilizers for all
manner of plants, grass seed,
tools that will make anyjob easier
and so much more. Come by

for all your farming, gardening,
hunting and DIY needs.
Rabbit, goat, sheep, cat, dog,
catfish, wild bird, and chicken
feed can be found here. There
is deer corn, QLF liquid, mineral
tubs and salt blocks to get
ready for hunting season. They
will steer you in a direction for
success in any of your outdoor
needs.
Taliaferro County Library
Summer Reading Program
Last week, at the Taliaferro
County Library, ventriloquist Mike
Stafford visited and entertained
children and parents with his
puppets and magic tricks. He
also encouraged the children to
sign up for the Summer Reading
Program and to read during the
summer.
For those who have not signed
up for the reading program yet,
there is still time. Children, ages
babies through those going into
the 5th grade, who have signed
up for the program will receive
prizes at three different reading
goals, 10 books read, 25 books
read, and 50 books. Each time
they reach one of those goals,
not only will they receive a special
reward but their names will be
entered into a drawing for the
grand prize, a Dinosaur Push Car
or a Hoverboard. Pre-teens, and
teenagers, 6th grade and up, will
receive prizes for reading 5 books
and 10 books. The grand prize for
the young adults will be a drone.

There’s lots of summer fun at
AH Stephens State Historic Park,
so watch for news every week to
know what’s going on. Here are
highlights for the next couple of
weeks:
Campfire Mysteries, June 21,
8pm-9pm
Join in the excitement of song,
skits and lots more.
Come to the the fields behind
the group shelter and enjoy a
delightful evening of fun and
s’mores. Bring your own chair
and dress for the weather. $5
parking fee required.
Archery Fundamentals, June
28, Ham-noon and 3pm-4pm
Beginner’s archery lessons for
ages 8 and up. Space is limited
so please call the park office to
register (706-456-2602). Meet
at picnic shelter #3. There is a
$10 fee, plus $5 parking fee is
required.
Come Meet the Reptiles, June
29, 1pm
There are at least 84 different
species of reptiles native to
Georgia and there is so much to
learn about them. Comer meet
some of our reptilian residents
and hear about the important
role they play in nature. Meet at
shelter #2. $5 fee plus $5 parking
fee required.

FY25 Budget Adoption meeting
on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at
10:00 am in the Commissioners
Meeting Room; 116 Monument
Street, Crawfordville, GA 30631.
The meeting was previously
scheduled for Wednesday, June
19, 2024, which is Juneteenth
Holiday.

20 at 11:30 am. She will talk on
Hydroponic Gardening.
