For more information email the park at AH_Stephens_Park@dnr. ga.gov Super WOW Shelby Power, Sadie Power, Ryleigh Shelnutt, Joseph Barnes, Andrew Holbrook and Charlie Fulcher. The adults on this trip were Daniel Barnes, Haley Shelnutt and Ginny Power Six kids and three adults went to Panama City Beach in Florida, for a week of Super WOW! and praising and worshiping Jesus and God and learning more and more about God’s goodness. Crawfordville Baptist made sure these children were able to take advantage of this great opportunity. They learned songs of praise, learned dance moves to some of the songs, heard messages from different preachers, went to the beach and played games, and came away with a better understanding of who God really is and how to worship him more. During the next Sunday service at Crawfordville Baptist, the youth took over and led the morning worship service. They made the announcements, led the music, took up the offering, prayed several times and all made a short presentation on how Super WOW! affected them. Ginny Power said this was her tenth trip to Super WOW! but said going with this group of kids was the one she loved the most. This time she wasn’t a child but an adult leader. She and Haley Shelnutt went as children and always came back more empowered to share their faith with more boldness. First Call Pregnancy Center to host Shoe Drive Fundraiser Drive-Thru Drop-Off The community is invited to clean out their closets for a shoe drive to raise funds for FIRST CALL PREGNANCY CENTER. Donations of gently worn, used and new shoes will be accepted. The amount of money raised is determined by the total weight of the shoes collected. All donated shoes will be redistributed to micro-enterprise partners through Funds20rgs, a for profit social enterprise, and used in developing nations for impoverished people to start their own businesses. Shoes need to be dropped off on Saturday, July 13, from 10am - 2pm at First Call Pregnancy Center, 1531 W. Broad Street, Greensboro. In the US alone, over 300 million pairs of shoes are thrown away per year. The materials used to manufacture a pair of shoes are created from chemical compounds that will create health hazards if left to disintegrate openly or in landfills. By donating your gently worn, used and new shoes to FIRST CALL PREGNANCY CENTER, your shoes are given a second chance to make a difference. About FIRST CALL PREGNANCY CENTER: Since 2005, First Call has served the 5-county Lake Oconee area seeking to meet the physical, emotional, material and spiritual needs of those experiencing an unplanned pregnancy. We are a Christ- centered ministry not affiliated with any one denomination and are registered with the state of Georgia as a 501©3 organization funded solely on community support.
