6th Annual Statewide Bible Reading
Over 25 community members
were on hand and participated
in the Statewide Bible Reading
Sunday, July 14 at 7:14am
on the courthouse steps and
prayed according to
II Chronicles 7:14. There
were 16 readers that participated
in this great event. Two prayed
aloud, Lauren Reed led the
music and the pledges to the
US flag, the Christian flag and
the Bible were offered.
It was such an inspirational
Bible reading and for it to
happen the morning after former
president Donald Trump was
shot was heartening to know
we can pray in public for our
leaders, for peace in our nation
and for those who do not take
peace seriously.
Donald Trump was spared by
the grace of our Father God and
there must be a turning from the
evil and wicked ways of some of
our elected officials. The Bible
tells us to pray unceasingly and
to read His Word on the public
square. That was done, and
we pray God found favor in this
event and will bless this nation
once more.
The entire Bible was read in
the state of Georgia, and across
our republic, in an hour.
We are excited for those who
are saved by the grace of God
and pray for those who are not.
Consider taking part, or coming
to hear, next year on July 14,
a Monday. We will read God’s
Word and rejoice in it.
Oconee Valley Healthcare celebrates
Dr. Dave Ringer’s 35 years of
dedication to Greene County
The Ringer family
Dr. Ringer with his wife, Kayleen and sons, Andrew and Joshua,
when he arrived in Greensboro in 1989
Oconee Valley Healthcare
proudly honors Dr. Dave Ringer
for his remarkable 35 years of
service to the community of
Greene County. Throughout his
distinguished career, Dr. Ringer
has been a pillar of compassion,
expertise, and commitment,
touching the lives of countless
individuals and families.
Dr. Ringer first came to
Greensboro in the summer of
1989, straight from his residency
with Anniston Family Practice in
Alabama. He started his own
practice on Siloam Road on
July 17, 1989. After a few years
there, Dr. Ringer moved his
practice to the business park
in front of Harbor Club- then
known as Village Greene. In the
mid-90s, he officially changed
the name to Family Medical
Associates. Dr. Ringer managed
his practice all the way until
2011, when he joined the office
with Oconee Valley Healthcare,
formerly TenderCare Clinic,
incorporating his patients and
staff with the office in downtown
Greensboro. Since then, he has
not only seen patients in the
office, local nursing homes, and
the hospital, but has served as
Chief Operating Officer and now
“The strength of a
family, like the strength
of an army, lies in its
loyalty to each other. ”
- Mario Puzo
Chief Executive Officer of the
health center.
As Oconee Valley Healthcare
commemorates Dr. Ringer’s
35 years of service, they look
forward to continuing his legacy
of excellence and compassion.
Oconee Valley Healthcare would
like to thank all the patients over
the years that have trusted him
and the other providers with their
health. A Greene County article
from 1996 has a quote from Dr.
Ringer: “We need good medical
care in this area for everyone,
regardless of their ability to pay.”
Oconee Valley Healthcare is
proud to say that this still holds
true for our services and our
care to the community! To make
an appointment at Oconee
Valley Healthcare, call 706-453-
1201.
