Tomorrow the Teachers Instilute of Schley county will hold its second meet ing at the academy in Ellaville. The object of the Institute is to better qual.fy the different teachers for the discharge of the responsible duties resting upon them, by the discussion of the different methods by exchanging views on con ducting schools, as well as establishing as near as possible systematic work. It is hoped that every teacher in the county will be present. Visitors are also invited. Mess. Baldwin left Wednesday for Montezuma and Oglethorpe, where he will spend several days buying the fleecy staple, Mr. C. L. Peacock went down to Ameri cus Wednesday. Mrs. G. W. Chipley who has heen under medical treatment in Atlanta for several weeks has recovered from her illness and returned home. Mr. Stephens, who superintended the construction of our new jail, departed Tuesday for his home in Kentucky. Mr. Gail left this week for Apalachi cola, Fla., where he goes to assist in the erection of another jail. Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Cordelle visited relatives near Lowe Wednesday, Marshall J. F. Hudson was among those of our citizens who visited Ameri cus Wednesday. Messrs W. II. McCrory and J R. Wil liams went down to Americus Saturday to hear the argument before the court in the Cordelle contested election to the mayoralty. Mr. G. L.
