Not lor.g before his death General Neal | Dow, who was nearly 9? years old, was asked the secret of his long life. Heaaid 1 it was that ho never worried. Similar remarks Imre teen made by other nun who reached an advanced and happy old age. In this explanation there is tho es I nence JL of philosophy. There is no doubt worrv drives many men and. per | imps, more women to premature graves. It is impossible, however, for some per sons not to worry. 3 They J are so consti . ! tuted that the slightest trouble or even I . . makes . them miserable, .. inconvenience They / tret over imaginary . ills ... ns well us real The habit and ... its ones. grows wear ! ing effect becomes worse constantly . until , , phvsical frame weakens . and , , breaks . down under , it. t | )e 0 f worrying like any ot |, el . can be resisted with more or , e(w 8Uuct>M8 . The battle against it should he|? j n ear j v j n |jf e; j t should be part of self-education of every individual. Natural tendencies can often be checked and in many cases entirely overcome. We have all seen persons who exceptional reasons for worrying and yet were the gentlest and sweetest tempered of olir acquaintances. These illustrations should be inspiring to us all. Most of us are apt to look for trou ble. When things are going reasonably well with us we worry because they are not better. When there is no real trou ble in sight we imagine that there is plenty of it just beyond the reach of our vision, and make ourselves unhappy without cause. It has been said that we sutler more from the dread of troubles that never come than from any actual experience. Old General Dow lias given us a valuable hint and if we use it rightly it will conduce to our comfort and happiness and to our prospects of long life.-The Atlanta Journal. STANDS AT THE HEAD. At no distant date the old Anderson ville stockade and immediate vicinity will be transfotmed into a national park The land for this purpose has been pur chased by the Woman's Relief Corps and in a very few months work on it will begin. Capt W A Wilson, a former resident of Americus, has been appoint ed to superintend the work and will come fiom Spartanburg. S. C. where lie and his family now live, in the early spring to take personal charge of the improvements. ONE OF TWO WAYS. The bladder was created for one pur pose. namely, a receptacle for the urine and as such it is not liable to any form of disease except by one of two ways. The first way is from the imperfect | action of the kidneys. The second way is from careless local treatment of other diseases. CHIEF CAUSE. Unhealthy urine from unhealthy kid neys is the elicit cause of bladder trou bles. So the womb, like the bladder, was created for one purpose, and if net doctored too much is not liable to weak ness or disease, except in rare cases, It. is sit uated back of and very close to the bladder, therefore any pain, disease or inconvenience manifested in the kidneys back, bladder or urinary passage is often by mistake, attributed to female weak nets or wombtrouble of some sort. The error is easily made and may be as easily avoided. To find out correctly, set jour urine aside for twenty four hours: a sedi ment or settling indicates kidney or bladder trouble. The mild and the extra ordinary effect of Dr Kilmer s Swamp Root, the great kidney, and bladder remedy is soon realized. If you need a medicine you should have the best.
