We feel that the educational interest has suf fered.a Fust that will be keenly felt, especially by the Ludvt.le High School, for whose construction lit w a s hugelv responsible, *’ Therefore, be it resolved, that a page in our minutes be inscribed to his memory, a copy of these reso lulions furnished the bereaved fam iv , and a copy handed the Pickens County Prog less with request that they publish same. “Done in regular session and sign ed by order of the Board, this 3rd day of November, 1925 G. Fla., Breeze, Card of Thanks We desire to thank all who were so kind to us during the sickness and death of ot r husband and father. Each kind act and word will be treas ured in our hearts as long as we live. Mis. James Hammond and Children. Two Kind, of There are two kinds of people on earth today, Just two kinds of people—no more, I say. Mot the good and the bad,for ’tis well understood I'hat the good are half l>ad and tlie bad half good. Not the happy and the sad,'outlie swift-11 yitig years Bring each man his laughter and each man his teat s. Not the rich and the poor, for to count a man’s wealth You must first know the state ol his conscience and health. Not the humble and proud, for in Life’s busy span Who puts on vain atr-s is not count ed a man. No! the two kinds of people on earth I mean, Are the people who lift and the people who lean. Wherever you go you will find the world’s masses A re ever divided in just these two classes. And strangely enough you will find, too, I ween, There is only one lifter to Eventt who lean. In which class are you? Are you easing the load Of overtaxed lifters who toil down the road?
