Your Connection to the World
one challenge, then another. Other days, the feeling is like being stuck in
a foot of mud. You just can’t seem to get anywhere, no matter how hard
you try. Worst of all, however, are the more tragic times when you feel
hopeless and alone...when it’s no joking matter and the world looks very
dark indeed.
We have often heard it said “it is darkest right before the dawn”.
Yet we have faith that the light of day will dawn. Why? - Because it never
fails. There is always a new dawn. God never fails to recreate the dawn.
You will see a new dawn as well, no matter how hopeless life seems,
when you have faith in the power of your Heavenly Father. Psalm
139:12 proclaims, “...even the darkness is not dark to Thee, the night is
bright as the day; for darkness is as light with Thee.”
Learn of God’s limitless power over the darkness. Visit God’s
house this week. Pray and talk with Him, for then you will never be
alone. He will go with you through the darkness and bring you into the
light of His love.

“Giving Back” (from church
bulletin): A boy asks his grandfa

when he could just go to the store
and buy peaches. His grandfather
replies, “We eat peaches now only
because someone who came before
us planted the trees.” The Alleluia
Fund for Mission, a fund to start

your opportunity to reflect on how
you can help plant a seed that will
bring God to future generations.

Foothills Community
Oh, the love that drew salva
tion’s plan! Oh, the grace that
brought it down to man! Oh, the
mighty gulf that God did span - At
Calvary.
W.R. Newell’s words say it so
well. Come, rejoice in all that
Christ has done for us this holy
week of Easter. Begin by experi
encing the rich meaning of a Seder
Service Thursday evening, when
the Rev. Paul Diamond, a Messian
ic Jew from Atlanta’s First Baptist
Church, will be leading a Seder
Service at Foothills Community
Church. The service begins at 6:30
with a fellowship meal to follow.
Easter Sunday morning, a Sun
rise Service will be held at 6:30 at
the Cross near the front of the
church property. Bible Study will
begin at 9 Easter Sunday, with the
morning worship service at 10:30.
The beautiful music of the season
will lift your heart in grateful
praise, and Pastor John Reale will
share the meaningful message:
“The Reality of the Resurrection.”
Yes, Christmas promises us
hope and joy ... but Easter guaran
tees those promises will come true.
Worship the Risen Savior this Sun
day!

Refuge Baptist
“This is my commandment, That
ye love one another, as I have loved
you. ” — John 15:12.
As we observe Easter, let us not
get so involved with the materialis
tic symbols of this day that we fail
to pause and reflect on what Easter
is all about. Jesus Christ loves us
so much that He was willing to die
for our sins, ascend to His Father
and leave us a promise that He was
preparing a place for us to be with
Him some day. What passion!
Easter Sunday at 6:45 a.m. will
be a Sunrise Service at Refuge. We
hope you will join us.
Our regular church services are
Sunday School at 10 a.m. and wor
ship at 11 each Sunday. Each
Wednesday, the Youth Choir meets
at 6 p.m., the Adult Choir at 7 with
prayer service following.
Church Conference is on Satur
day night before the second Sunday
at 7:30. We also have services with
Grandview Health Care Center on
the Second Sunday at 2 p.m. and
Youth Service each fifth Sunday.
If you are looking for a church
filled with love for our Ford and
Savior, and with love for one
another. Pastor Johnson and the
church members extend a warm
invitation for you to visit with us.
