PAGE 6B PICKENS COUNTY PROGRESS THURSDAY. SEPTEMBER 1.2022 er evening participating in Young Life s annual kick off event. PHS Junior Carleigh Canada is all smiles. Pickens Young Life Colorball is back On Monday, August 29th, Pickens Young Life hosted Col orball at Jasper United Methodist Church’s Eagle Park. Color- ball is like kickball, with the fun bonus of very vibrant color powder getting thrown on runners at each base. Young Life leaders hope and pray that everything they pre pare and do for kids - and that every interaction they have with kids - reflects Jesus, his unconditional love for them, and the abundant life he invites them to live with him. Young Life leaders have no doubt that Monday night helped paint a colorful picture of God’s welcoming arms and invita tion to full life. The first Young Life Club meeting will be Monday, Sep tember 12th at 7:27 p.m. at One South Main Street. Young Life will hold its annual fundraising banquet on Thursday, October 20th at Sharptop Cove at 6 p.m. For more information about what’s ahead this fall and for upcoming school season weekend camp dates, please contact Area Director Kate Meek at 706.536.6949 or katehmeek@gmail.com.
