PAGE 6B PICKENS COUNTY PROGRESS THURSDAY. DECEMBER 21.2023 Letters tatk Editor To The Editor MERCHANT VERSUS THE CHURCH I went to college in Fort Wayne, Indiana for three months in AD 1958. While there, I heard a discussion on TV about "The Blue Laws." When I saw the map, I recognized that the Blue Laws were Sunday closing laws and anti-alcohol laws that Americans had once placed to defend their chil dren at a time when the church guided the thoughts of most Americans and a love for the child was a tradition. I realized the attempt to overturn the Blue Laws was an attack by merchants to at tack the Christian Church and the child neither of which the merchants had love for nor did they care who died. Looking back through the decades, I saw the merchants gradually consume the church in little towns across the nation like a swarm of lo custs. Pouring out of the comipt cities of the North, East, and West, the merchant swarm began to cover the South consuming the capital city of Georgia, Atlanta, leaving a swath of dying children in their wake. International ac tivists, disguised commu nists, sovereignty betraying one world government ac tivists, and addicts to every vice poured in behind the merchant horde using the his tory of Georgia as an excuse to destroy the patriotism of the state to remove the his tory of the state as they de stroyed children of the state with their legal liquor and abortion. The horde controlled Georgia state and local gov ernments that were slaves of the merchants and the betray ing national political parties riddled with adultery and ad diction to some vice. The quislings removed the state flag and laughed and said, the people will forget about it. They joined the horde to kill the people they were elected to defend. With these thoughts in mind, I can with zeal suggest that a Prohibition Amend ment be established over the nation so that never again will a man or woman demand that a child be killed so that somebody can make some money. I intend to see the virtues of Robert E. Lee and George Washington, and Christ once again ride over Washington and the nation and Atlanta so that nobody has to die because somebody else has no love for them. I am much enraged at watching millions of Ameri cans die for the drunk, per vert, harlot, and the greedy. I intend to see that every man and woman of all races North, East, and West bow to the South and Christ himself. I know that God can win with one man as well as with millions. I am not in it to be liked nor to get rich, but all of us are under God and His words in Isaiah, "Let go my captives not for price or re ward."
