A BIG EAGLE.
Mr. Van Horn, of Towaliga,
brought to Barnesville Monday a
big gray eagle which he had kill
on Towaliga river. The eagle
weighed 18 pounds and measured
7 feet from tip to tip of wings. It
attracted the attention of nearly
everybody in the city.
CHANGE OF SCHEDULES.
The following changes in the
arrivals of trains here has been
made and went into effect Mon
day. The down train in the morn
ing arrives at 9:48 and the up
train arrives at 9:21. The up
train in the afternoon arrives at
5:37 and the down train at 5:59.
This makes the trains meet at
Milner both morning and after
noon.

The congregational Methodist
church held an all day singing
laßt Sunday. The regular servi
ces were held by Rev. Rolfe Hunt.

JOHN HOLMES RECOVERING.
The friends of Mr. John M.
Holmes are pleased to note that
he is rapidly reeovering from the
injures which he sustained in a
runaway at West Point, Miss, last
week. The accident occured
1 ist Monday and he arrived here
last Wednesday night and has
been confined to his home until
the past few days. The accident
o:cured near West Point, Miss.
He was driving through the coun
try from a nearby tov n to West
Point and the horse became fright
ened and ran away throwing Mr.
Homes out,injuring him painfully
but it is hoped not seriously.
