What the Editor Heard. A STORY FROM CAYUGA CO., N. Y. SUm Pennell, of Xlira, Y., Veils O t & Dllxmdc of the Nineteenth Century. fflrom the Cayuga ffok, IV. 1"., Independent.) Hearing through) Messrs. Allen & Burch, druggists of Niles ; . that Mr. Silas Z. Pen nell, a respected citizen of that town had been cured of a bad case of sciatic rheuma tism by the useof Dr. Williams’ Pink Pills for l’aie People, the editor of the Cayuga County Independent determined to know the truth of the matter and went out to Niles. Mr. Pensell is a farmer and has neat and comfortable home near Niles. Wet asked Mr. Pennell if it was true that ho had been cured of a bad case of rheumatism bw Dr. Williams’ Pink Pills. He said that three years ago in August 1891, he was seized with severe pains in the hip, just where the sciatic nerve is, which gradually ran down his leg making life a misery to him but not preventing him from doing some work on the farm. Soon after he was loading hay when lie slipped off the load and hit his hip on the wheel. After ihi9 he was worse, suffering great agony, and for some time was unable to do any w;rk. He took such medicines as his physician prescribed and improved somewhat so that he could help some around the farm again. About Thanksgiving time he was helping to put away some barrels of cider which he had made, when he strained himself anti agnin became helpless. He then tried smother {ihvsieian who felt confident of curing him iy the use of the electric battery anti medi cines which he prescribed. But failure was the result, he got no better, and another physician was tried and treated him for some time. By this time his whole body was affected. Sharp pains would start in his hand or foot, run up one side of his body, over his shoulders and then down the Other side and then pass off for a short time. These pains would return regularly, affect ing his whole body, and nothing seemed to relieve him and he began to despair of ever being well. In the spring of 1892 a relative in another county read of a case very simi lar to Mr. Pennell’s, which had been cured by Pink Pills, and sent the article to hint, asking if it did not suit his case, it was very similar and he determined to try them, lie commenced taking Pink Pills and soon felt better, the pains became less violent with longer intervals between them. He felt encouraged and persevered in their use anil snon became able to work on the farm, and in April or May he felt so free from pain that he considered himself a well man again. He says he has probably taken 20 boxes and able to do as good a day's work as any other man, and wc can say that he looks like a hale and hearty man who had never known sickness. Dr. Williams' Pink Pills contain all the elements necessary to give new life and rich ness to the blood and restore shattered nerves.
