Vernon. 1. Be it ordained Fiy the May or and Council of the City of Mt. j Vernon, and it is hereby enacted iby authority of the same, That from arid after the passage and 1 adoption of this Ordinance, it shall be unlawful for any person or persons to shoot, explode or otherwise discharge any fire-crack er, roman-candle, rockets, or fire works of an v description whatever (except from one o’clock p. in. to midnight of the night of Decem ber 25tli, 190(5,) on the public streets, or within the corporate limits of the said city of Mt. Ver non. 2. Be it further ordained that the exploding or firing of said fireworks shall be permitted only from one o’clock, p. in., to niid nigirt of the night of December 2b t h, 190(5. Be it further ordained that any person violating this ordinance shall be punished, on conviction, by a fine of not less than one dol lar nor more than twenty dollars; or imprisonment in the county jail, or caused to be wonted on the public streets of said City for not less than three nor longer ! than thirty days.
