An Ordinance to prohibit the
shooting or discharging of firo-,
work* of any kind within the
corporate limits of the City of
Mt. Vernon.
1. Be* it ordained by the

Vernon, and it is hereby enacted !
by authority of the same, Thut

adoption of this Ordinance, it
shall be unlawful for any person
or persons to shoot, explode or
otherwise discharge any fire-crack
er, roman-candle, rockets, or fire
works of any description whatever
(except from one o’clock p. in. to
midnight of the night of Decem
ber 25th, 1900,) on the public
streets, or within the corporate j
. limits of the said city of Mt. Ver-1

the exploding or firing of said i
fireworks shall be permitted only
from one o’clock, p. in., to mid
night of the night of December

person violating this ordinance
shall lie punished, on conviction,
bv a fine of not less than one dol
lar nor more than twenty dollars;
or imprisonment in the county
jail, or caused to he worked on
the public streets of said City for i
