are fixing up our room for the
Christmas holidays.

Vernon Tuesday. While here he
was a pleasant caller at The
Monitor office.
Mrs. Sophie Wooten and Miss
Eliza McAllister of Atlanta re
turned home Tuesday after
spending the week with relatives
at Longpond and other sections
of the county.
Master Clay Wilt spent the first
of the week with Mr. and Mrs.
C. L. Allmond near Higgston,
enjoying the cane grinding and
other good things of country life.
I The condition of Hon J. C.
Calhoun remains practically un
changed. His conditions at times
has seemed critical, and while at
other times he recuperates his
vitality to a wonderful degree.
Friends throughout this section
hope for his recovery.
Messrs. J. H. McNatt of Uval-j
da and P. J. McNatt of Mt. Ver-'
non have returned from a hunt
ing trip to St. Marks, Fla., where
they were joined by a paity from
Columbus. They killed hundreds
of ducks and s quirrels, but no
large game.
