Gainey, et al, was ordered filed to take the usual course, On motion the 100 foo: span bridge to be built ovor Tired Creek at Collin’s Mill, was awarded to the International Steel & Iron Co,, of Evansville, Ind., II. T. Witnesscth, that the party of the first part, for the consideraticn , hereinafter mentioned, agrees to furnish all steel, iron, cement, and labor and build and construct for said party of the second part, one steel bridge to be 100 foot long with 12 feet roadway, and made up ac cording to the plans and specifications of the Austin Bros. Bridge Co., Atlanta, Ga., which are hereto made a part of this contract. The party of the first part to do all of the concrete work, place all steel on tlie abutments, and place all flooring on the stool. The party of the second part is to furnish all material except the steel, cement and labor, and .the party of the second part is to haul all steel, iron and cement, from the railroad station nearest the site of the bridge, without charge to the party of the first part. All the concrete and steel work to be done in a good workmanlike manner, and the bridge completed, except the fills at the ends, and have the same completed on or before the Hth. day of Sept. A. D., 1910. Said work shall be done in accordance with plans and specifications hereunto attached which am hereby made a part of this contract In consideration of the foregoing material to be furnished and work executed by said party of the first part, said party of the second par hereby agrees to pay said party of the first part, The sum Of Two Thousand Ninety Seven Dollars and Seventy-Five Cents, (§2,097.75,) in the following manner to-wit: One Thousand Ninety Seven Dollais and Seventy-Five Cents, ($1,097.75,) to be paid upon completion of work, warrant issued for One Thousand ($1000.00) Dollars, to be pay able to agent of said company, of Evansville, Ind., cashed Dec. 30th And for the faithful performance of all and every article and agreement aboved mentioned the parties hereto do hereby hind themselves and their successors each to the other firmly by these presents . It is further agreed, by and between the parties hereto, that should the weather or condition of said stream be such as to prevent the completion of said work within the time above specified, or should the same be delayed by failure of the railroads to transport any portion thereof within such time, qj' from strikes or any other cause or causes beyond the control of said party of the first part, then the time foi the fulfillment of this contract shall be extended for a period not less than that caused by such delay. On motion it was ordered that the following proposed change in a certain road in the. Higdon District be advertised according to law. Proposed and petitioned that all of that part of the Hawthorn Trail south of Horse Creek bridge on. said road and running to the Florida State line be discontinued, and that in lieu thereof a road nov a private road be made a public road which runs from said bridge where said Hawthorn Trail crosses said Horse creek in a Westerly di- rccton and intersects the Reno and Concord public road; said change in rond being a distance of about two miles. On motion the following changes in public roads having been ad vertised according to law and no objections filed, said changes hereby declared made. All that parts of a certain public road east of Dock Rawls inter secting the Whigham and Concord road near Mrs. Lamberts is dis continued and in lieu thereof a new road .beginning at the Hawthorn Trail near the residence of J. B. Ferrells and leading to Calvary through the lands of W. II. Scott, L. O. Maxwell, T. I. Johnson, J. P. Rawls, Mrs. E. J. Rawls and W. A. Carr and intersecting the Reno and Calvary road at the Calvary School house, is declared made a public road. On motion the following changes in public roads having been ad vertised according to law and no objections filed, said changes are here by declared made: That a certain road beginning at the South-West corner of C. H. Ulm’s field and intersecting the Concord and Whigham road via Cal vary near the residence of T. P. Harrisons, be discontinued as a public road and in lieu thereof a road beginning at the residence of T. W. Faircloths and running in a Southerly direction through lands of T. W. Faircloth, Mrs. Sallie Maxwell and C. H. Ulrps, intersecting the Pum- phry and Calvary road at the Southwest corner of C. H. Ulms, field, a distance of about two miles, and is hereby declared made a public road. On motion the following resolution was passed: Be it resolved that from and after this meeting all bids for furnish ing the county supplies for convicts and other purposos, must be sub mitted, sealed, to the county board while in regular session at their regular meetings on the first Tuesday in each month. Bids for furnish ing supplies, etc. must read: To furnish said supplies from one regular meeting day until the next. All seals to bo broken and all contracts to be let by the board in regular session each month. This resolution also discontinues the allowance of four days extra pay each month to the chairman for looking after buying.
