Whereas, good health is most

Whereas, our citizenry has
grown careless and negligent in
respect to health conditions in the
town and community, and,
Whereas, many things hereof
have been brought to the atten¬
tion of this associction by person¬
al obaervation and otherwise
which may be easily corrected by
and with the cooperation of the
citizens, city officials and physi
in an unsanitary condition, not
due to an abuse by it occupants,
but by reason of the dirt accu
lation, spit and old tobacco chews
in and on the old carpet whic has
been there for manv years, and j |
Whereas, some sf the toilets,
stables, hog pens and other out;
buildings are at times found in i j
a very dangerous and unsanitary
condition especialli in summer
season, breeding flies which j sj I

Whereas the public streets,
side walks and alleys are gener¬
ally left littered with paper and
trash, various kinds of decaying

rette paper have been promis
ciously sold, given away or other¬
wise furnished young and grow¬
ing boys, it being a very common
thing to see very young boys
much under the teen ages smok¬
ing cigarettes. While the mem
bers of this association deplore ■

he manufacture, sale and vse of
intoxicating liquors as a very
serious detriment to health and
morals, yet we believe the use of
cigarettes, especially by young
boys to oe an even worse menace,

Whereas, there is a too common
practice of careless spitting in
and on the floors of public build-1

cbizens of the town to cooperate
with this association towards

erally which have heretofore been
kept in an unsanitary condition-
