Prof. Lawrence Duffey, the clever efficient school commissioner of Henery county, was in the city yesterday on the way to Barnes vills to atlend the opening of the fall team of the Sixth District Agricultural College. Mr. Dufiey is one of the trustees of that insti tution and has a deep interest in the welfare and snccees of the school. —Griffin News. Prof. Lawrence Duffoy, of McDon ough, the efficient school commis sioner of Henry county, and one of the beat, and most wide-awake trustees of the Sixth District Agri cultural school, was in the city Welnesday attending the opening of the second session —Barnesville News Gazette. Mr. and Mrs. Owen Clements leave in a few days for Spring field in Effiigham county, where Mr. Clements will take charge of the mechanical department of the Springfield Herald, a new paper to be established by a stock company. This new venture has the hacking of some of the best people in the county and we know that it will be a success from the start.—Lyons Progress. Mr. R. C. McKissach, of Fort Worth, Texas’ and Mr. John F. Mc- Kissach of Manguin, Okla., arived on Tuesday to be the guests of old friends and relatives. It had been almost 29 years since they were here, and find many changes in this county. The Southern rail way had not been built when they left here. They are the guests of Judge W. T.
