John Oaks, of Datchtown, spent Saturday night here the guest of Messrs. John and Jord Johnson. Mrs. Andrews spent Sunday with Mrs. Dalton McCollough. Miss Kittie Jarrett was the guest of her sister, Mrs, Sallie Tidwell Sunday. The Easter egg hunt at the home of Mr. J. VV. Foster was quite a success about 45 being present and a joily time was the results. Garie Strickland accompanied by his sister Miss Annie Pearl and Mattie Lee Foster attended Sun day School at Noah’s Ark Sunday morning. Mr. Charlie Brown, of Hampton, spent Saturday night and Sunday here the guest of Mr. Waymond F oster. Roe Alexander and family at tended preaching at Mt. Carmel Sunday. Messrs. To the Quii lifted Voters of the city of Hamp ton, Henry county, Georgia; Pursuant, conn ordinancedu.'y anil unan imously adopted by tin Mayor and coun cil oi the city of Hampton, Henry county, State of Georgia, on the tilth day of Apnl 1909, you are nereby notified that on the tenth day of May, 1909, an election will lie held in said city at which will lie submitted for your determination the question whether Ixmds shall beisi-utd by said city to the amount of $20,000 for the purpose of erecting, installing and equipping a sys tem of Electric Lights and Water Works in and for said city. Said $20.0(A) of “Electric Eights and Water Works Bonds'’ shall bear date the first day of July, 11)09, shall lie in denomi nation of SI,OOO each, shall bear interest at rate of live per cent, per annum, payable semi-annually on the lirst day oi January and July of each year as hereinafter stated The principal and interest thereon shall be payable in gold coin of the United States of the present standard of weight and fineness, at some lunik in the City of New York and State of New York. The principal of said bonds shall be payable as follows: SI,OOO on the first day of July, 1920 and SI,OOO on the first day of July t hereafter to and including 1939, when said Electric Lights and Water Works Bonds shall he fully paid off and discharged. The interest of said electric lights and wa ter vorks bonds will be as follows: To the first day of July, 1910, and to the first day of July each year thereafter to and in cluding 1920, the sum of SI,OOO, and to the first day of July, 1921, $950; and to the first day of July, 1922, $900; and to the first day of July, 1923, $350; ami to the first day of July, 1924, sfcoo; and to the firstday of July, 1925, $750; and to the first day of July, 1926 $700; and to the first day of July, 1927, $650; and to the first day of July, 1928. $600; and to the first day of July, 1929, $650; and to the first day of July, 19110, $500; and to the first day of July. 1931, $450; and to the first day of July, 1932. $400: and totne first day of July, 1933. $350; and to the first day of July. 1934, $300; and to thefirst day of July '935. $250; and to the first day of July, 1936. $200; and to the ftest day of July, 1937, $150; and to the firstday of July, 1938, $100; and to the firstday of July, 1939.
