Sheriff Sowell has returned from Danville Kentucky, where he went to bring back Will Collins, who killed Charlie Allen at the South ern railroad Depot at McDonough nearly four years ago. It was due to the Sheriff’s vigilance that this man was captured. He never gives up until they are caught. Hon. Earnest M. Smith, of Mc- Donough, was in the city yester day for the purpose of getting es timates on the cost of a magnificent new home that he will build in the near future. Green, of Brookwocd, Ala,, was the guest of home folks and old friends here this week. He has just returned from a trip to Mexico where he spent some time. He was exnibiting a pair of horns from one of the famous Mexican bulls that were a “sight” to look at. William Bates died at his home in Greenwood yesterday morning and will be buried at Vaughns at 11 o’clock today, Rev. J. A. Drewry will conduct the obse quies. The remains of William Bates, who died at Greenwood Monday, were brought through Griffin yes terday morning, being carried to Vaughns, where the burial took place at 11 o’olock, Rev. J. A. Kendrick went over to Henry county yesterday morn ing to attend the annual session of the South River Association, which convened at Bethany church four miles east of McDonough and will be in session three days. This association is composed of twenty five churches of Henry and adjoin ing counties, and this session is ex pected to be one of the best in the history of the organization,—Grif fin News. C. R. That they desire for themselves, their associates and successors to he in corporated and made a body politic un der the name and s{rleof Pearl Spring C reamery Company, for the period of twenty Years. 2nd. The principal office of said Com pany shall be in the city of McDonough, state and county aforesaid, but petition ers desire the right to establish branch, offices within this state or elsewhere whenever the holders of a ma jority of the stock may so determine. 3rd. The object of said corporation is pecuniary gain to itself and its share holders. 4th. The business to be carried on by said corporation sha ll be and is the pro duction and sale of milk and its products "with the right to owri and deal in real estate: to own and operate creameries and milk depots, with necessary machin- I ery for the use of dairy products, such as j butter, cheese, Icecream, and condensed milk, and to buy, manufacture and sell same. To own and operate necessary I machinery for the manufacture of ice ; cold storage, etc. To own and operate ! Oil mill for the manufacture of cotton j seed products: to manufacture and deal l in feed-stuff for man and beast: to deal | in cattle—buy and sell same. sth. The capital stock of said corpora tion shall be Ten Thousand Dollars, with the privilege of increasing same to the sum of $25,000.00 by a ma jority vote of the stockholders. Said stock to be divided into shares of One Hundred Dollars each, to be paid in cash or its equivalent in real estate or machin ery for the conducting of the business. Petitioners further show that Fifty per cent, of the amount of capital stock to be employed by them has been actual ly paid in. oth. Petitioners desire the right to sue and be sued, to plead and be pleaded, to have and use a common seal, to make all necessary by-laws and regulations and do all other things that may be ne cessary for the successful carrying on of said business including the right to buy hold, and sell real estate, and personal property suitable to the purposes of the corporation and to execute notes and bonds as evidence of indebtedness in curred, or which may be incurred in the conduct of the affairs of the corporation, and to secure the same by mortgage se curity deed, or other form of lien under existing laws. 7th- They desire for said corporation the power and authority to apply for and accept amendments to its charter of eith er form or substance, by a vote of a ma jority of its stock outstanding at the time. They also ask authority for said incorporation to wind up its affairs, li quidate and discontinue its business at any time it may determine to do so by a vote of two-thirds of its stock outstand ing at the time. They desire for the said corpora tion the right of renewal when and as provided by the laws of Georgia, and that it have all such other rights, powers, and privileges, and immunities as are inci dent to like incorporations or permissible under the laws of Georgia. Wherefore petitioners pray to be in corporated under the name and style aforesaid with the powers, privileges and immunities herein set forth, and as are now or may hereafter be allowed a cor poration of similar character under the laws of Georgia.
