Petition for Charter.
State of Georgia, Henry County.
To the Superior Court of said county:
The petition of A, F. Bunn, G. L.
Thrasher, Ij. G. Bowden, W. J. Barrett,
T. C. Kimbell, .1. B. Newman, et al, of
Henry county, Georgia, respectfully
shows:
Ist. That they desire for themselves,
their associates and successors to be in
corporated and made a body politic un
der the name and style of
Pearl Spring Creamery Company,
for the period of twenty Years.
2nd. The principal office of said Com
pany shall be in the city of McDonough,
state and comity aforesaid, but petition
ers desire the right to establish branch
offices within inis state or elsewhere
whenever the holders of a majority of
the stock may so determine.
3rd. 'The object of said corporation is.
pecuniary gain to itself and its share
holders.
4th. The business to be carried on by
said corporation shall be ami is the pro
duction and sale of milk and its products
with the right to own and deal in real
estate: to own and operate creameries
and milk depots, with necessary machin
ery for the use of dairy products, such as
blitter, cheese, Icecream, and condensed
milk, and to buy, manufacture and sell
same. To own and operate necessary
machinery for the manufacture of ice
cold storage, etc. To own and operate
Oil mill for the manufacture of cotton
seed products: to manufacture and deal
in feed-stuff for man and beast: to deal
in cattle —buy and sell same.
sth. The capital stock of said corpora -
tion shall be Ten Thousand Dollars, with
tlie privilege of increasing same to
tlie sum of $25,000.00 by a ma
jority vote of the stockholders. Said
stock to be divided into shares of One
Hundred Dollars each, to be paid in cash
or its equivalent in real esrale or ma'-hin
ery for the conducting of the business.
Petitioners further show that Fiftv
per cent, of the amount of capital sto-k
to be employed by them his been actual
ly paid in.
6th. Petitioners desire the right to sue
and be sued, to plead and bo pleaded, to
have and use a common seal, to make all
necessary by-laws and regulations and do
all other things that may be ne
cessary for the successful carrying on of
said business including the, right to buy
hold, and sell real estate, and personal
property suitable to the purposes of the
corporation and to execute notes and
bonds as evidence of indebtedness in
curred, or which may be incurred in the
conduct of the affairs of the corporation,
and to secure the same by mortgage se
curity deed, or other form of lien under
existing laws.
7th. They desire for said corporation
the power and authority to apply for and
accept amendments to its charter of with
er form or substance, by a vote of a ma
jority of its stock outstanding at the
time They also ask authority for said
incorporation to wind up its affairs, li
<Hvitiate and discontinue its business at
any time it may determine to do so by a
vote of two-thirds of it* stock outstand
ing at the time.
Bth. They desire for the said corpora
tion the right of renewal when and as
provfdetTby the laws of Georgia, and that
it have all such other rights, powers, and
privileges, and immunities as are inci
dent to like incorporations or permissible
under the laws of Georgia.
Wherefore petitioners pray to be in
corporated under the name and style
aforesaid with tin*powers, privileges and
immunities herein stft forth, and as are
now or may hereaft* he allowed a cor
poration of similar character under the
laws of Georgia.

Mr. G. W. Smith is quite sick at
this writing but we hope to see

Misses Mary Smith and Dessie
Cliafin spent Saturday night and
Sunday most pleasantly with Miss
Gertrude Crumbley.
Mr. and Mrs. L -ster of Rockdale
were the guests of their daughter
Mrs. B. Crumbley last Sundav
week.
Mr. and Mrs. R. L Thompson
are rejoicing over the arrival of a
fine bouncing boy at their home.
A severe rain and wind storm
mingled with some bail visited
our community one night last
week fortunately no damage was
done here the main current passed
on nortli of us.
Miss Lectio Thompson was the
charming guest of her cousin Miss
Luoile Thompson Saturday night.
Several from'around here visited
the remains of the houses and
trees that were struck by the
storm one night last week in
Rockdale.
Rev. E. Oglesby and wife of Mc-
Donough spent Saturday night in
our midst ns the guests of Mr. and
Mrs. J. A. Philips.
The many friends of Messrs H.
H. Kelley and Jim Watson will be
delighted to hear that they are
some better at this writing.
