Mrs. Gideon Banks and Mrs. Sam Stanfield were guests of Mrs. D. T. Stone one day last week. We are sorry to know of so much sickness in our community. Elder Dan Henderson has been sick with pneumonia for the past week also Mr. Joe Green Mitchell. Mr. Terry Welch is spending a few days with homo folks this week. Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Mays werethe guest of the former’s parents Mr. E. P. Mays Saturday night. Wo are sorry to know that little Leslie Fargorsonis very ill at this writing. Mr. Stephens of Rex was the guest of Mr. Albert Sorrow Sun day. Messrs. Joe and Clarence Fields were welcome visitors at our Sun day School Sunday. On account of our Sunday School Superintendent being absent Sun day Mr. .Tim Tinly acted as Super intendent in his place, we are cer ainly glad to have Mr. Tinly in our School. Mr. and Mrs.Oxfcrd Barnett was the guests of the latters parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. T. Medlock Satur day night. Several from here attended the singing at Mr. Jim McCollough’s Saturday and reported a fine time. FLAT RUCK The party at Mr. and Mrs. Grady Morris last Tuesday night was en joyed t-.y all. It rained out the Georgia Day at Woodland School house last Fri day was a week ago. We are all glad to know that Mr. Walter Wilscn’sarm is getting about well. Mr. Virgil Dodson died last week and was buried at Flat Dock. Misslsora Patillo from Atlanta was the guest of Miss Mattie Hin ton last Saturday night Mrs. Virk Hinton was the guest of Mrs. S. R Wilson last week. Mrs. Henderson and her daugh ter Miss Lillie Henderson were the guest of Mrs, Hinton and her dau ghter Miss Mattie. Miss Sissie Henderson and her little sister were the guests of Miss Lonnie Wilson last Sunday. Mr. George Moseleys daughter is real sick. PAGES S' A year PETITION FOR AMENDMENT (F CHARTER, Georgia, Henry county. To the Superior Court of said County. The petition of the Carmichael-Ste phens Lumber Company respectfully shows: Ist. That it was heretofore incorporat ed by this Honorable Court under the name of the Carmichael Planing Mill & Lumber Company and afterwards chang ed by the same authority to the Carmi chael-Stephens Lumber Company and has been and is engaged in the business of general wholesale and retail of Lumber, the manufacture and sale of all kinds of planing mill goods, and contracting for all kinds of building, plumbing and elec tric work, the original stockholders or incorporators being B B. Carmichael, H. B. Carmichael, S. H. Carmichael, and H. C. Turner. 2nd. Since said first incorporation and at the time the name was changed to the Carmichael-Stephen Lumber Company E. A. Stephens acquired stock in the cor poration but since has sold out his in terest find severed his connection with said corporation and now fill the stock is owned by B. B. Carmichael and H. B. Carmichael. 3rd. On account of the retirement of said E. A. Stephens and because ho wish ed to withdraw his name from said cor poration, petitioner shows that on the 3rd day of January 1910 at a stockholders meeting of said corporation at which al of the stock was represented it was un»n. inionsly resolved that an application should be made to this Honorable Court praying that the name should be changed to that of the Carmichael Lumber Com pany, a copy of which lesolution will be exibited to the court in cannection with this petition. Wherefere petitioner prays that, "for the reasons as indicated, that the name of the Carmichael-Stephens Lumber Company bechanged to that of the Car michael Lumber Company uud after the petition has been duly published that an order be passed by this Honorable Court to the end indicated.
