War. Every Day Will lie Strongly Featured. Jackson is arranging to have one of the greatest chautau quas ever held in this part of the state. The date of the Chautauqua is June 12 to 18,Masting a full week. Many strong attractions have been secured and each day will be featured. The business men of that progressive little city have lined up behind the movement to a man and there is united effort to make the Chautauqua one ot the best ever pulled off in Georgia. The Chautauqua will be opened Sunnay, June 12, by a sermon to be preached by Bishop Warren A. Candler of the Methodist Church. Tuesday will be mibtary day and a sham battle between the Jackson Ritfes and another com pany ot the national guard will be a feature. Hoke Smith will deliver his famous lecture, “Dixie During the Sixties” on that day. One day will be known as Automobile Day, the date to be given out later. There are ten attractions' consisting of Mathiessen’s Band for the entire week, Apollo Concert Company, Walden, the Magician, Weeks Concert Company, Dr. Thomas McClary, W. H)well Hale, and other fine drawing cards. Free open air concerts will be given by the Band each afternoon. Hundreds of people from all over the state are arranging to visit Indian Springs and Jackson at that time. All visitors will be greeted with true middle Georgia hospi-. tality. There is such a variety of talent to select from, that* there will be something to amuse, interest and attract one all the time. Tlie Womans Foreign Missionary Society of the Methodist church held their annual lea at the resi dence of Mrs. J. F. Wall on Tues day.
