Miss Foster Entertains.
Miss Nell Foster delightfully en
tertained a number of her friends
Tuesday evening in honor of her
guests, Miss Eula McVicker of
Locust Grove. The lovely home
was artistically decorated with
ferns and cut flowers. Several in
teresting games were played. At a
late hour delicious refreshments
were served.

where she has been attending

Mr. Charley Summers, of Bar
nesville, was up in his Knox car
with a party of friends Wednes
day.
Mr. Joseph Jones was called to
the bedside of his daughter, Mrs.
Belle Vining of Eufaula,. Ala., Fri
day. We hope that he will find
Mrs. Vining much better upon his
arrival.

Mrs. J. E. Lyons and sons,

Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. J. R.
Nolan, of Senoia.
Hampton and McDonough
played a very interesting game of
ball Wednesday. The score being
7 to 5 in favor of Hampton.
Annual singing at Lebanon
Church Sunday was attended by
a large crowd. The singing was
good, the old Sacred Harp being
the only book used.
After a very pleasant stay of
two weeks, Misses Elizabeth Ra
mey and Christine Melson, of At
lanta, have returned home. While
here by their happy and congenial
dispositions they made a host of.

Clark Medlock and Parks Reeves
went down to Hampton Wednes
day to play in a game of ball with
Hampton against McDonough and
they did not fail to do their part.

On account of the scarcity of
houses to rent in Hampton, it was
necessary for the Trustees of
Hampton Public Schools to erect
a dwelling on the achool grounds
to be used by the teacher during
the coming year. Mr. Jim Ander
son, of Lovejoy, has the contract
and he is pushing the work as
rapidly as possible; it will be
ready for occupancy by the mid,
die of August.
