Mr. Editor, as it has been some time since I wrote to The Weekly I will try again. Farmers at this place are about done picking cotton and are getting ready for winterqnarters. People here are now quite hnsv making sorghum syrup. Mr. L. A. Miller lets three barrels of syrup for sale. We are sorry to know that Mr. M. B. Crowell is very ill. and hope for liis qnick recovery. Mr. and Mrs. William Willard parents last Sunday. Messrs. Emory and Clyde Miller spent Sunday afternoon with Miss Jodie Miller. Miss Jessie May Woods, of Jack son, is spending this week with Miss Clyde Miller. Messrs. Willie Crowell and Henry Miller were on regular duty Sun day afternoon. Mr. Ed. Wright passed through this section Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Norman, of this place, attended Sabbath School at Sharon Sunday afternoon. We are glad to be able to report that Dr. Nelms is fast recovering from an illness of some two weeks. Miss Lucy Stroud and beau drove through this section last Sunday afternoon. Flat Rock. Mr. Doc Mosely spent Monday in Atlanta. Mrs. Luke Livingston and daugh ter, Miss Greene, were the guests of Mrs. George Hinton Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. John Bonner spent Tuesday with relatives at Locust Grove. Mr. Arthur Patillo, of Atlanta, was a visitor in the community last week. Mr. Henry Jones, of Locust Grove, spent Wednesday night in the community. Mr. Gaston Hinton spent Satur day in Atlanta. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Owen were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. John Henry Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Grady Morris speiit one day last week in McDonough shopping. Miss Katie Bonner visited rel atives near McDonough Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Elliott were the guests of the latter’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Hinton, Sun day. Mr. J. C. Bellah, of Atlanta, is spending a few days with his par ents, Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Barron, of Sardis, will preach at Betlmny on the first Sun day afternoon. Let everybody come. Mr. M. A. Terry, of Stockbridge, was mingling with friends around Bethany on Sunday. Mr.C.E. Craig and family visited Mr. Willis Nail and family Sunday afternoon. Mr. Bob Miller and family visited their parents Sunday. Mr. Luther Price, Locust Grove, was out riding with his best girl Sunday afternoon. Mr. W. TT. Lane went over to Covington Sunday, remaining until Monday. Crumbley and daugh ter, and Mr. and Mrs. Leßoy Capps, visited Mr. and Mrs. Dallas Crumb ley Sunday. Miss Lucile McKibben attended the McKibben-Lively wedding in Atlanta last week. The young people of this com munity enjoyed a singing at the home of Miss Mamie McKibben on Saturday night. Mr. L. A. Waters attended Sun day school at this place Sunday. Miss Lillie McKibben and Lyn don Jinks attended service at Cedar Rock Sunday. Mr. Clarence Bond was a pleasant caller in this community Sunday. Messrs. E. R. Moore and family and JulianCardell and family spent Sunday with Mr. Lundy English. We are grieved to report that Mr. Olin Lindsay, who has has been ill for quite a while, is no better.
