Mrs. Ethel Tye Wright was hos tess at two tables of bridge whist on last Saturday afternoon as compliment to her attractive guests, Misses Lucile and Marga rette Gamble. A delicious salad course was served at the conclusion of the game. Those present were: Misses Gamble, Ruth Turner, Nena Tye, Lucy Reagan, Agnes Dunn; Mes . dames Fouche Lemon and Alex Brown. Miss Ruth Turner Hostess. Miss Ruth Turner entertained at dinner Saturday evening in honor of the Misses Gamble, the guest of her aunt, Mrs. Wright. Mt. Bethel. People of this section hare been having a hog-killing time for the last week Quite a number attended preaoh ing at this place Sunday. Ask Eugene Bledsoe where he went Sunday afternoon and how he enjoyed himself. Mr. Lem Austin spent a few days with home folks last week. Mrs. J. H. Jeffares and Miss Elon Jeffares attended preaching at this place Snnday morning. We are glad to note that Mr. T. A. Barham is still improving. Prof. J. S. E. Range has returned to his home i n Tennessee, where he went to visit his father, who is seriously ill. Wonder who that was went to a certain plaoe Sunday and they Mr. and Mrs. A. F. Lenon Hosts Mr. and Mrs. Fouche Lemon en tertained 'delightfully on Tuesday evening as a compliment to the Misses Gamble, guests of Mrs. Ethel Wright. Cards and music were enjoyed) and later in the evening fruit was served. Al though it seems as if he was enjoy ing himself, but the ones be was talking to seemed more interested in the earth than in him from the way it was torn up. Ha. ha, ha. Rev. Wayman Whitaker will preach here next Sunday at eleven o’olook. Sunday school at ten o’clock. Let everybody come. Christmas will soon be here and if all you little children will be good, I will try and pay you all a visit. Santa CLavs. Commissioner Lawrence Duffey spent several days this in Barnes ville, Atlanta, and other points on school business. Messrs. Fred Walker and Ben ton Thompson visited Atlanta Tuesday.
