Patrick and little son Clements, spent the week-end with relatives here. Mrs. R. A. Sloan left Thursday to spend two weeks with her mother at Warm Springs. Mrs. Dasher and little daughter, of Fort Valley, are the guests of her brother, Mr. C\ W. Bankston. The Presbyterian church has purchased and will at once install a new system of lights, with beau tiful chandiiers. Mr. John Callaway, of Stock bridge, has moved into the Mrs. Mary Walk t place, and will be connected with Stansell & Rape’s shops. Mr. Joe Chafin was among the McDonoughites visiting the Gate City Tuesday. There will be a play next Friday night at the school auditorium for i the benefit of the fund which the jIJ. D. C’s. are raising to improve and beautify Big Spring place for a park. Sickness is making many visits in our town this week: Miss Ruth Walker has the measles and Mrs. 'A. F. Lemon and Dr. J. G. Mr. Lmn Ingram spent the last week-end at home. Mr. Gordon Dickson came over from the University School at Stone Mountain, for the last week end. Mr. Benton Thonpson has ac cepted the place at the depot re cently vacated by Mr. J. M. Hooton. Mrs. Carrie Mays spent Sunday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. T. J. Upchurch at Locust Grove. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Turner were the guests of Mr. Turner’s parents in McMullen’s district Sunday. Prof. Lawrence Duffey, of Mc- Donough. was in the city yester day on the way to Barnesville to visit the Sixth District Agricultural School. Prof. Duffey will also visit the agricultural school in the third congressional district before returning to McDonough.—Tues day’s Griffin News. Mrs. J. T.
