Flippen. Mr. R. L. Berry, of near Noah’s Ark, passed through here Monday afternoon. Messrs. Dupree and Goodwin made an automobile trip here Wednesday. Mrs. Jewel Burch and Miss Fan- Lee Burch spent Friday afternoon in town shopping. Mesdames B. 0. and Cora Fields spent Thursday and Thursday night in Dutchtown. with their brother, Mr. Johnnie Johnson, and family. The prayer meeting was held at Mr. Henry Riley’s Sunday and was largely attended. Mrs. G. W. Floyd visited the Misses Hood Tuesday afternoon. Mr. T. H. Fields returned to his home a t Stockbridge Monday, where he has a very promising poultry farm. Mr. H. C. Riley made a business trip to McDonough Saturday afternoon. Mr. T. D. Stewart, of Atlanta, was a welcome visitor here Satur day afternoon. Mr. Luke Hood returned home Tuesday, after an extended visit to relatives and friends. Mrs. Sallie Rountree was the guest of Mr. and Mrs. A. G. Harris Sunday. Messrs. Len and Tom Hays, o f White House, were here Thurs day afternoon shoDping. Miss Fannie Lee Burch was the guest of Mrs. A. J. Burch last week. Little Miss Odell Foster spent the week end in Tunis with friends. Messrs. Zach Mann and J. P. Porter, of Jonesboro, were here a while Friday in the latter’s hand some automobile. Mr. and Mrs. Hiram Cook, o f McDonough, spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. A. G. Harris. Mr. and Mrs. L. E. Dailey spent Tuesday with Prof, and Mrs. G. H. Bailey. Mrs. Manse Glass, of Atlanta, has returned home after visiting home folks a few days. Mr. Jord Johnson made a busi ness trip to McDonough Monday. Mrs. Clarence Strickland spent Monday with her mother-in-law, Mrs. T. H. Strickland. Mrs. T. W. Bennett spent sever al days in Atlanta with her ■ sister, Mrs. Len Conkle, who is critically ilf at Broughton’s Sanitarium. Mr. and Mrs. Neal Burch spent Monday with the former’s broth er, Mr. W. H. Burch, and family. Miss Myrtice Fields was a visitor in Tunis Friday night and Satur day. • Misses Bird and Lucile Glass, and Ida, Florrie, and Lois Owen, of Tunis, were visitors here Friday. Messrs. J. W. Rountree and R. L. Johnson spent Monday after noon in McDonough. Mrs. Joe Lovorn was the guest of her daughter, Mrs Clarence Strickland, last week. Mrs. E. M. Touchstone and chil dren were the guests of friends Monday. Rev. Olin King and Mr. Clarence Harris were here Saturday. ' Mr. Sam Foster made a business trip to McDonough Saturday. Mr. S. P. Richardson, of near Stockbridge, was here a short while Monday. Misses Fannie and Katie John son spent Monday afternoon with Misses Dennis and Eva Fields. Mesdames Clarence Strickland and R. W. Fxum and Miss Vanie Hood were the guests of Mrs. H. C. Riley Saturday. Mrs. Cora Fields and daughter, Miss Mrytice, visited Mr. and Mrs. Otis Fields Monday night. Pensions Ready. Judge A. G. Harris now has file J m o n e y to pay the Confederate Veterans their pensions, upon ap plication to him. Gard of Thanks. Mr. and Mrs. S. J. Next second Sunday will be singing at Liberty Hill. Every body come. Misses Mae Meadows and Lela Campbell went to Griffin Satur day. Mr. Henry Chinn was in Griffin, Saturday. Mrs. Charles Conley called on her sister, Mrs. Myles Campbell, one afternoon last week. Rev. Ulm filled his appointment at Liberty Hill last fourth Sunday. He will preach a music sermon the fourth Sunday in April. Let everybody come. Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Barnett spent Saturday night and Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Henry Chinn.
