We heard the gentle cooing of
a turtle dove a few days ago,
which is a sure sign of planting
time, according to some old time
sayings, but you better go slow
about putting your seed in the
ground this early.
Judge R. T. Daniel of the Flint
Circuit, is making folks sit up and
take notice it seems in the open
ing session of the court he has
held to date. In Butts Superior
Court a few days ago, on the open
ing day, he fined several jurors
S3O each for being a little behind
time. You jurrors in Henry
county for the coming term had
better be on your P.’s and Q.’s.
for they say he is some pumpkin
as a judge.
Burglars have in the past few
weeks made several raids at
the home of Mr. J. M.
Hays and up until a few days ago,
he had been unable to apprehend
the guilty parties, but on last
Thursday night they again enter
ed his corn crib and secured some
corn, cotton seed, and a few other
things. He discovered the theft
a few hours after it was done,
notified Sheriff Sowell, who came
down and in a short time located
the stolen goods, and also cap
tured the guilty parties.
In the death of Mr. M. V. Sowell
whose death was mentioned in
the columns of The Weekly last
week, this community loses a good
citizen, whose loss will be keenly
felt in this section. Mr. Sowell
was a man always ready to do a
kind deed for his fellowman in
any way that he could, and he
seemed to delight in lending a
helping hand to any family or
person in distress either in sick
ness or misfortune. He was true
to his chui eh, and the vacant place
he leaves there will be hard to fill.
His death is the third one of this
family within the past few months,,
his brother, Mr. I. L. Sowell being
first, a sister, Miss Nancy Ann
Sowell, next and then his death.
Only two brothers survive him,
Mr. J. F. Sowell and E. S. Sowell.
He leaves an aged com
panion and a number of child
ren to mourn his death, but bve
and-bye when the battles of life
are over there will be a happy re
union on the other shore.

“SUPREME” and BLOOD. BONE
“SOUTHERN BIG" ggNiM and TANKAGE
BRANDS 'W*!ff/' FERTILIZERS
ATLANTA, GA.
You can’t always tell what a fertilizer is by looking at it. It may be in good
mechanical condition and may have every earmark of being just the thing you
want, but there are other considerations that are more important that the farmer
should know when he is buying plant food for his crop.
He should know from what source his ammonia is derived and whether he
can depend upon it to feed his crop constantly and continuously till maturity.
By no surer way can he guarantee himself full protection in this way than

Iguanol
by the use of our excellently prepared Blood, Bone and Tankage fertilizers on all his crops.
They are in absolutely fine and dry mechanical condition, thus insuring free and even distri
bution and uniform feeding of every plant. They do not contain one ounce of any ammoniat-
ing substance but the most scientifically prepared animal matter from our six large
packing plants which insures quick and constant action through wet and dry
seasons alike. They prevent shedding and keep the stalk healthy and vigorous.
This is why the “SUPREME” and “SOUTHERN BIG” Brands have been
found better by those who have tried them beside other fertilizers. Call on your
dealer for a copy of our 1911 Year Book and see what others think of them.
