Kelly, of Delta Grove, was in Flippen Friday morning. Mr. J. F. Moseley visited Atlanta Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. W. O. Miller spent Thursday in Atlanta. Mrs. J. F. Moseley spent Thurs day in Stockbridge with parents. Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Rowan spent a few days this week with rela tives in Culloden. Mr. and Mrs. A. G. Harris, Jr., spent Sunday in Stockbridge. Mr. Raymond Pair made a busi ness trip to Atlanta Saturday. Mr. Lovett Burch spent Sunday with his brother, W. H. Burch, Jr. Mr. and Mrs. Green Brannan, of near Salem, spent Sunday with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. H. E. Brannan. Mrs. R. M. Love and Mrs. 0. B. Dailey attended the quilting at Mrs. B. 0. Love’s, near Salem. Mrs. J. T. McCullough visited Mrs. A. H. E. Brannan Saturday afternoon. Mr. C. R. Strickland spent Sun day in Atlanta. Mr. R. H. Exum, of Dutchtown, spent Saturday afternoon in Flip pen. Mr. and Mrs. John Sweeney, of Roseland, have moved here. We are glad to have them as our neighbors. Misses Kate Brannan and Travi lee Elliott spent Saturday in Lo cust Grove, the guests of Miss Nannie Harkins. Mrs. F. A. Hiding, of McDon ough, spent Friday as the guest of her son, Mr. W. H. Burch. Mr. T. D. Stewart, of Atlanta, spent Friday with Mr. R. L. John son. Mr. G. E. Floyd, of near Flip pen, spent Saturday afternoon in McDonough. Mrs. C. R. Strickland spent Sat urday and Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Strickland, of Dutch town. Mr. Tom Rowan spent Sunday night with Mr. Oscar Fields. Rev. T. J. Johnson and daugh ter, Miss Oza Johnson, spent Sat urday afternoon in McDonough. Mr. Homer Harris, of Flea Kick, made a business trip to Atlanta Saturday. Mr. Oscar Fields spent Satur day night with Mr. Tom Glass, of Tunis. Mr. T. A. Fields, of Stockbridge, spent Sunday with Mr. Oscar Fields. Messrs. Ewell Hendon and J. E. Guyton attended the party given at Mr. B. 0. Love’s Saturday night and report a nice time. Mr. Tom Speer dined with Mr. J. T. Hendon Saturday. He was on his way to Union Grove School j house to deliver a speech in favor of the Farmers’ We hope he had good success. Master Ralph Phillips spent Sat urday night with Mr. Luther Floyd. Mr. Claude Moss, of Salem, was here Friday mingling with friends. Guess Who. NO PLACE IN GEORGIA. Epileptic Suffering. Yesterday a gentleman asked; “Is t] a place in Georgia w here a feeble-minded girl of re ink, who . ■ , be; he ;.\ < * learned to talk, can be placed?” j She is motherless, and the father! absolutely no account. ”No place in Georgia?” This is one of many applications coming to an orphans home. State Insane Sanitarium is going to ask the legislature to provide a farm school for training their hands, and brains, and hearts. Also to ask for a colony work for the most pitiful, the epileptics. It is a State work, equalling in im portance, and success that for the defective blind or deaf mutes. Thirty States are doing this work successfully. Butts of Ridicule. In nearly every town there are one or more neglected men, pos sibly women, who are the .objects of jeers of even small boys, and often the women are the cause of their life-long debauchery and disease. Georgia Must Protect Her Citizens These are citizens and need pro tection, the tax-payer needs it, some mother’s boys need it, future generations of like-minded citizens need it, the whole of society needs this protection. There are hundreds who are going backward to the animal who could be elevated nearly to human standards. Is it worth while? Ask your legislature to support the measure. A. P. S. (Last Week’s Letter.) Considerable fertilizers were hauled out to this section last week. Jesse and Charles Jef fares hauled some Friday and Saturday; Curtis Moss and Dan Knight also hauled. Mr. Abram Strawn went down to Jackson Saturday. Mr. W.B. Simpson and daughter, Myrtle, spent Wednesday with us last week. Messrs. Oliver Jones and John W. Jackson gave us a call Sunday morning. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Strawn called on us Sunday afternoon with their little daughter, Mary Francis. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Bledsoe visit ed J. B. Grant’s family over in the state or Sand Ridge Sunday. Rev. W. J. Debardeleben, of Locust Grove, passed through here Friday. I was on the sick list last week, and Mr. J. M. Bledsoe and Mrs. Sam Austin and Mrs. Lon Cawthon came around and cheered us up Thursday afternoon. Miss Ruby Jackson is busy breaking a new piano just* in stalled last week. PRESSING HIS SUIT.
