Flippen. Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Riley made a business trip to McDonough Monday afternoon. Miss Fannie Johnson was here shopping a short while Friday. Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Roundtree spent Sunday with their daughter, Mrs. Charlie Hinton, of near Flat Rock. Miss Dennis Fields spent last Friday in McDonough, the guest of her aunt, Mrs. J. G. Harris. Mr. C. J. Simpson visited home folks Sunday last. Mrs. Len Conkle spent last week with her sister, Mrs. T. W. Ben nett. Several from here attended the Easter services at Mr. Carmel Sunday. Mrs. Nath Strickland and daugh ter, Annie Pearl, spent last Friday most pleasantly with the Misses Hood. Mr. Oscar Fields made a busi ness trip to Atlanta Saturday. Miss Julia Glass spent last Sun day night with Miss Leila John son. Mr. Tolls, the Claim Agent of the Southern Railroad, was here a short while Monday afternoon. Mr. Joe. Steele and little son spent Saturday in Atlanta. Mr. J. W. Roundtree went to McDonough Monday, Mr. and Mrs. Powell, of Stock bridge, visited the latter’s sister, Mrs. A. G. Harris, Sunday. Mrs. W. H. Burch, Jr., spent Monday with Mr. Will Burch and family. The many friends of Mrs. Love will be glad to learn that she is rapidly improving. Mr. and Mrs. S. H. Alexander spent Wednesday with Mr. and Mrs. H, S. Rowan. Mrs. Edgar Johnson and little son, of Birmingham, Ala., were the guests of Mr. B. 0. Fields and family Friday night and Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Strick land spent Saturday night and Sunday with the former’s home folks, Mr. Tom Strickland and family. Mrs. Tom Love and Mrs. Fan nin, of near Salem, spent Monday with Mr. and Mrs. Love. Mr. Lucius Johnson, of Jones boro, spent Sunday- night with home-folks. “Uncle” Henry Rowan, Misses Myrtice and Lura Fields were out riding in a road-cart Friday after noon. Mr. Colquitt Piper is visiting his sister, Mrs. Maud Smith. The little infant of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Patterson died Friday, and was laid to rest at Sharon Sat urday, Rev. I. G. Walker officiat ing. Mr. W. L. Presson and wife and baby are visiting relatives in Cov ington. Mr. Luther Smith and wife and baby visited his brother, Emmett, Sunday. Mr. Hamp Stroud is quite sick with measles, Mrs. Addie Jenkins and child ren visited Mrs. W. H. Presson one evening last week. Mr. George Cawthon and Berta Eva visited Mrs. Belle Smith Sun day. Mr. J. 0 Jinks and Jack Nail attended the musical entertain ment at Mr. Jim Wilkerson’s Sat urday night. Quite a crowd from this com munity went a fishing over at Snapping Shoals Saturday, and caught a nice string of fish. Mr. David Carter, of Florida, has returned home here, to the joy of his many friends. Mr, and Mrs. R. W. Cash visited 1 the latter’s sister, Mrs. Oddie Hanes, near Woodstown Sunday. Mr: and Mrs. J. A. Lane was called to the bedside of sick rela tives in Butts county Sunday. We hope they will soon be better. Mr. and Mrs. Edge stopped a while in this section Sunday. Mr. W. W. Nail and Mr. J. E.
