Mrs. Howard Glass, of near Tnn is. spent a few hours Thursday af ternoon with Miss Vonie Hood. Mr. R O. Fields visited relatives in Griffin Saturday night and Sun day. Messrs. C. J. Simpson and Tom Glass spent Wednesday in Atlanta. Miss Julia Glass visited the Miss es Johnson Friday. Mrs. J. T. McCullough spent Tuesday with Stockbridge rela tives. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Strickland were the guests of the former’s father, Mr. Y. 8. Strickland, and family Sunday. Prof, and Mrs. G. H. Bailey and sister. Miss Julia, made a pop-call to McDonough Thursday afternoon. The ice cream supper given by Mrs. Cora Fields Thursday night was enjoyed by all present. Several from here attended the picnic at Carmichael’s mill Satur day. Mr. W. L. Glass and family were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Burch Sunday. . Miss Kate Glass visited Mrs. Cora Fields Tuesday afternoon. Mr. Julian Weems, of McDon ough, was here a short while Mon day afternoon. Mrs, Cora Fields and daughter, Miss Myrtice, and Misses Leila and Oza Johnston were the guests of friends and relatives in Tunis Wed nesday. Mr. T. T). Stewart, of Atlanta, was hore on business last Wednes day. Mrs. Oscar Miller and daughter, little Miss Ada, visited Mr. William Hinton and family, near Flat Hock, Tuesday night and Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. A. G. Harris, Jr., spent Tuesday in Atlanta. Mr. ()scar Fields was the guests of relatives in Lovejoy last week. Mrs. \V. L. Pair spent Thursday in Atlanta shopping. Well, the farmers in this section are through planting, and some are fixing for chopping. Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Stanfield and Miss Lelah Callaway made a trip to Atlanta last Saturday. Misses Bottle and Edna Pendley visited Mr. and Mrs. Tom Dorsey one day and night last week. Mr. Watson Stanfield aud little Lucile Dorsey have the measles. A few more in this locality to have them, and then everybody around here will be through with them. Mr. and Mrs. Gideon Banks vis ited their son and daughter. Mrs. Tillie Pendley and Mr. Arthur Banks, of Milner, last Saturday night and Sunday. Misses Maud Banks and Lillian Stanfield visited Mrs. Caroline Dor sey last Saturday night, and Mr. and Mrs. Chat Dorsey were her guests Sunday. Mrs. Carrie Barnett visited rela tives in Griffin one day last week. Miss Nettie Barnett visited her sister, Mrs. R. H. Chinn, a few days the past week. Mr. Clarence Wallace was the guest of Mr. Watson last Saturday night and Sunday, and Master Roy Dorsey was the gnest of Arnold. Mr. and Mrs. John Dorsey visited Mr. and Mrs. Chat Dorsey last Thursday. Mrs. D. L. McLendon visited her daughter, Mrs. Minnie Pool, of Hampton, last Thursday, who is all smiles over a fine boy. Mr. Phelix Morris called on W, E. Copeland Friday. Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Rape passed through these parts Saturday. Mrs. J. H. Carr and wife visited W. E. Copeland and family Sun day. Mr. Arthur Sowell and Emmett Dorton went up to McDonough Friday. Mrs. John Copeland visited Mr. W, T. Rape Sunday. Along Route Four. Miss Lillie Jones, of Lithonia, is visiting her sister. Mrs. Ector Mc- Garity, who for the last few days has been very ill. We hope she will be well in a few days. Mr. Jonas Lester is very sick with the measels. Mr. Rosser Berry, accompanied by Misses Mary Berry and Mary Ogletree, of Oak Hill, were vis itors in this community a short while Saturday. Mrs. Lizzie McGarity is spend ing a few days with Mr. and Mrs. Archie McGarity. The many friends of Mr. Joe McGarity are glad to know he has almost recovered from the mumps. Miss Lillian Jackson spent Fri- day night and Saturday with rela tives in McDonough. Master Clovis Berry was the guest of his cousins, Masters Rhea and Frank Berry, Saturday night and Sunday. The many friends of Mr. Jphn McGarity sympathise with him in his recent loss. Misses Clara and Bertha Jack son spent Friday afternoon with Miss Willie Berry. Mrs. Fafnnie Sowell and her little niece, Eliza Bonner, were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. E. A. McGarity last Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. B. H. Rosser and family and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Rawls and-family enjoyed a fish ing trip Saturday. We had a severe wind storm Saturday afternoon. Mr. Tom Goss and lady spent Sunday as the guest of Mr. Tom Rawls and home-folks. Miss Hester Davis, of near Locust Grove, was the week-end guest of Miss Kate Stallworth. Mr. and Mrs. Bail Eliott visited the latter’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Duke, last week. Mr. and Mrs. H. B. Rosser went to Jackson shopping last week. Quite a number from this place attended the school picnic and bar becue at New Hope last Wednes day. Messrs. Bud, Tom, and Hubert Carter, Tom Stallworth, and Mr. Lane visited the “big dam” Sun day.
