Stewart and her son, Mr. Pearce Stewart, will arrive to-day from Oxford, where the lat ter has been attending Emory Col lege, Their many friends will be glad to see them at home again. Mr. Clay, of Florida, a school mate, will come with him, and be here for a week or two. Miss Lillie Coan, who did such fine work in music under Miss Bey er, is now continuing her studies, going up to Atlanta twice a week ror that purpose. Mrs. J. N. Woodruf has been on a visit of several days to her daughter, Mrs. Verna Wright, at Jackson. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Anil's and Mrs. Mervil Lowe made an auto mobile trip to Atlanta Thursday. Miss Jessie Sutton, of Bartow, Florida, arrived Wednesday night, for a ten days’ visit to Miss Ethel Sowell. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Copeland went to Jackson Monday to hear W. J. Bryan lecture, and enjoy the day with their son, J)r. Walter Copeland. Misses Ruth and Nona Turner! attended the Chautauqua at Jack- j son this week, visiting friends! there. Dr. Henry Hightower attended the State Druggists’ Convention at Indian Spring Tuesday. Messrs. J. A. Fouche, R. A. Sloan, Adam and Carl Sloan, Walter Ingram, and A. M. Bowden spent Sunday at Warm Springs. Mrs. J. F. M. Fields and son, Dozier, and her sister, Mrs. George Brown, of Orchard Hill, are visit ing their sister in Morton, Missis sippi. Judge A. G. Harris left Wednes day morning for Albany, where he is attending the Good Roads Con vention there. Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Rinker and little daughter, of Atlanta, are the guests of Mr. and Mrs. A. F. Bunn. Miss Sara Hooten, of Atlanta, is the guest of Mrs. J. E. Hooten. Miss Bertha Rodgers is attend ing the Chautauqua in Jackson this week. Mrs. T. A. Lifsey is spending the week in Jackson, and attending the Chautauqua. Miss Strickland, of Macon, is here on a visit to Mrs. Green Bow den and Mrs. W. B. Bankston. Miss Pauline Swann, of Hamp ton. is the guest of her mint, Mrs. H. S. Elliott. Miss Ruth Park, of Boston, ar rives to-day, for a visit to her sister, Mrs. R. H.
