MR. OSCAR JACKSON TO BECOME A BENEDICT. His Engagement to a Monticello Girl was Announced Sunday. Sunday’s Atlanta papers car ried the following announcement of interest to McDonough and Henry county people: THOMAS—JACKSON. Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Jackson Thomason, of Monticella, Ga., an nounce the engagement of their daughter, Nettie, to Colonel Robert O. Jackson, the marriage to take place in November, at the Baptist church in Monticello. The people of McDonough re ceived the above announcement with pleasant surprise and led Mr. Jackson’s host of friends im-. mediately to heap their congratu lations upon him. Everybody here and hereabouts knows Mr. Oscar Jackson as one of our best lawyers and finest gentlemen. He is capable in busi ness, winning in personality, and of the highest character. His good fortune in this instance shows that he is a practitioner equally successful in all the courts. Miss Thomason is one of Monti cello’s most attractive young ladies, of one of the town’s finest families, and has the good wishes of many friends.
