Miss Louise Smith celebrated her seventh birthday with a very' delightful party Friday afternoon at the home of her parents. Col. and Mrs. Ernest M. Smith. Forty little guests were received on the front porch, where punch was served by Miss Flora Neal. The chief amusement of the afternoon was a peanut hunt on the lawn. Miss Frances Ellison received the prize, a book, forfind the greatest number of peanuts and Mr. Harper Carmichael the booby, a large peanut filled with the salted nuts. After the games the children were invited in the library to se cure partners to go to the dining room for refreshments. Every child was given a string to which a peanut was tied. Each one was told to find the other end which of course was held by an other. The string wound in and out around the furniture and caused a great deal of amusement for the little people. The “real party” was served from a table shining with pink and white. The center piece was a birth-day cake embossed in white with seven pink candles burning on it. Pink and white souvenirs were drawn by each guest and the ice and cake were in the same colors. The young hostess was a charm ing picture in a white lingerie frock with pink ribbons. She was as sisted in entertainiug by her cousins, Misses Frances and Flora Neal. * For Sale. Two houses and lots on East side of McDonough. One 2 room and one 4 room house.
