Miss Corrie Gossett is Sunday School Secretary. Miss Corrie Gossett, of Stock bridge, has been selected Secretary of the Henry County Sunday School Association. Miss Gossett is one of the most efficient and enthusiastic Sunday School workers in our county and is a valued member of the Stock bridge Presbyterian Sunday School. The association is fortu nate in securing her and she will be a valuable aid to President Mil am. A Spend-the-Day Party. On these delightful autumn mornings the “call of the wi.d” comes strog to us all, and it is hard to keep us “in school’” The call could not be resisted by little Ethel May Smith, the 12 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Smith, and Tuesday she “mysteriously disappeared.” She was found, however, late in ti e afternoon at a relative, Mr. Ira Moseley’s, in Rockdale county, none tne worse for her experience. She is not very cinmunicative to how she covered the twelve miles to Mr. Moseley’s on her “spend-the-day party” all to herself. Timon Bowden Enters The American League. Mr. Timon Bowden has reported to the St. Louis American League team. One of the St. Louis dailies speaks highly of him on his first game, where he played center field. He fielded perfectly and had but two chances at the bat. The paper says of him: “Many good judges liked the youngster’s stand at the bat, even though it savored somewhat of the “proppv” position of Gus Williams, too much weight on the stepping roct.” Fimon’s McDonough and Henry county friends feel confident he will make good and soon be a val uable regular on his team.
