Stanfield, spent the week-end with the lat ter’s mother, Mrs. Emily Mitchell, at Mt. Zion. Mr. W. A. Sock well and family and Mr. C. W. Pruett and family were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Thurman Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Riley, and Miss Mollie Riley, of Mt. Zion, spent Wednesday here with Mr. Mrs. P. M. Blackmon. Mr. Frank Adamson has been spending several days this week at his old home in I)®uglas coun ty. Mr. and Mrs. Lem Mitchell, of Decatur, were the guests of the latter’s parents' here Saturday night and Sunday. Mrs. P. M. Blackman, who has been very sick, we are sorry to say, is not any better. Notice is given that the Southern Railway Con p.i y has made ap plication to the Railroad Commis ion of Georgia for authority to dis ccntinue operation of trains Nos. 29 and 30 between Atlanta and Columbus. Said application has been assigned lor hearing before the Railroad Commisoner’s at its office of Atlanta on Monday Oct. 19th, 1914, at 10:00 AM. This notice is published in accordance with requirements of the Railroad Commission of Georgia in order that parties desiring to be hea d in connection with the matter may communicate with the commission on or before the date mentioned. Mrs. Nannie Gunn and little daughter, Maybell, spent Tues day with Mrs. W. H. Presson. Mrs. Joel Bankston is the guest of Mrs. B. H.
