Mr Grady Ingram spent Thanksgividg Day hunting near Mt. Cornel. Miss Dorris Nutt, of Jackson, was the week-end guest of her sister, Mrs. E. I). Tolleson. Messrs. Joel and C. W. Banks ton were the guests of their sister, Mrs. Wells, at Fort Valley, at a family reunion on Thanksgiving Day. Money Raising Squabs. A pleasant occasion of Thanks giving was the dinner at which Mrs. Annie Nolan entertained for pleasure of the pastors of the three churches and their wives and a few other friends. Miss Annie Lemon with a party of friends from Agnes Scott Col lege were at home for the day. A well prepared and delighnful dm.ier was beautifully served. Noi the least enjoyable thing of tin pleasant day was the singing of Miss Annie Nolan. I | Daughters of Confederacy Meet. The last regular meeting of the Daughters of the Confederacy met with Mrs. J. M. Gilmore. The meeting began with prayer, then a song, Tenting on the Old Camp Ground; after which busi ness was taken up, among other things that was brought up by the president, Mrs. Louche, was the buying and wearing cotton goods made at home, and, to show her good faith, she came wearing a cotton dress, spun and woven at the Butts county mills from cotton grown in Henry County. This goods which is a soft cream crepe, costing 7cts per yard, made a very attrctive go-vn.
