SUNDAY NIGHT SAW METH
ODIST MEETINGS CLU3E.
Nineteen New Members Were
Added to Chjrch Roll. Church
as Whole Revived.
The two weeks of services at
the McDonough Methodist church
came to a close with the Sunday
evening’s services.
In every respect it was a not
able and successful series of meet
ings.
Every service was well attend
ed by an interested congregation
and the house was crowded on a
number of occasions.
The sermons preached by' the
pastor, the Rev. H. S. Smith, twice
daily were sound expositions
of the Word of God, proclaimed
in a most convicting and winning
manner.
Mr. Grenfell’s music on the flute
and the singing under his leader
ship were most inspiring and al
ways befitting the sermon. Misses
Boss Fouche and Annie G. Thomp
son were the accomplished pian
ists.
There were a number of special
services, such as for the ‘ shut
ins,” several times for the children,
etc.
As a result of the meetings,
there were nineteen accessions to
the church membership. The old
members themselves and Christ
ians of all denominations feel the
quickening of the spiritual man as
a result of the servfewfif*^* 5
