few days with her sister, Mrs. W.
H. Clark, last week.
Miss Harriett Clark, is spending
the week with her sister, Mrs. J.
E. Sprayberry.
Misses Mamie and Julia Riley, of
Milledgeville, are spending this
week with, Mr. and Mrs. J. W.
Thurman.
Misses Snowdia and Chiffie
Clark spent Sunday with their sis
ter, Mrs. Y. W. C. Adamson.
Mrs. Lee Mays, of Stockbridge,
motored Mr.-Tom JarreU, Mr. and
Mrs. B. W. Walden and daughter,
Mandy, to Atlanta Saturday.
Miss Velma Rivers, of East At

her cousin, Miss Lukie Martin.

Mr. and Mrs. E. A. Reagan, of
Ellen wood, lost their little child
last week, who had been sick for
sometime. The bereaved parents
h ave our heart's sympathy. We
point them to our blessed Savior
for their comfort and they should
think they have another bright
jewel in heaven, w'hom they
should worse to meet. The fune
ral and interment were at Tan
ner’s church Wednesday.
Mr. and Mrs. L. M. Stephens
spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs.
Charley Pruett.
Mrs. Willie Brook, w r ho was
burned about two months ago,
died Saturday and was buried
at Tanners on Sunday. She suf
fered untold agony while she lived
after she got burned. The fune
ral svas conducted at her home
near Conley on Sunday morning
by two Mormon elders.
Mr. K. E. McMullen was around
to see us Friday.
Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Avery and
children spent Sunday with the
latter’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. W.
M. Stephens.

instead of the type setter, I will
come again soon withsometing.
Mrs. Walter F. Cook, Jr., will
spend Saturday in Atlanta. Mr.
Cook w ill return with her for a
short visit.
Mrs. Sarah Simms left Monday
for her home in Covington, Mr.
and Mrs. R. L. Turner taking her
in their car.
Mr. and Mrs. Moate Thompson
and children, of Covington made
a motor visit to Mr. and Mrs. R.
L. Tuiner Friday.
Mr. and Mrs. A. N> Brown left
Monday for an automobile trip to
the Shorter commencement at
Rome. Miss Lillie Coan will re
turn with them.
Mrs. E. M. Fogg has returned
to her home in Atlanta for her va
cation.
Mi. and Mrs. Roy Smith, of At
lanta, were the week end guests
of Mr. and Mrs. Bailor Smith.

his brother, Mr. E. J. Price. He
’was drowned Sunday near his
home in Peedee, N. C., Sunday.
Mr. Price left Monday to help in
thesearch for the body. At last
reports the body had not been re
covered if it is. the remains will
be brought here for interment.
