No “White Lies.”
Minneapolis, Minn. Asserting
that he does not want any “white
lies” told at his funeral and that
he wanted no weeping or moan
ing “when he put out to sea,” the
Rev. G. L. Morley, Minneapolis
evangelist, known from coast to
coast as “Go Lightly” is preparing
to “can” his funeral oration.
He will have a phonographic re
cord made of one of his favorite
speeches. Then he will incorpo
rate in his will a request that til's
be played at his funeral. He is n
perfect health now.
She Told Her Neighbor.
“I told a neighbor whose very
young child had croup about Fo
ley’s Honey and Tar,” writes Mrs.
Qedkamp. 2404 Herman St., Cov
ington, Ky. "She thought that
the child surely would die it was
so bad. When she gave it a cou
ple doses of Foley’s Honey and
Tar she was so pleased with the
change she did not know what to
say.” This old reliable cough
syrup immediately helps coughs,
colds, croup and whooping cough.
Just as good for old as it is for
young folks. The McDonough

A young man and another young
man roomed together. And after
they had roomed together long
enough to wear each other’s
things, one of the young men had
to go away on a long trip. He
hoped to come back, but his stay
in far away parts was rather in
definite, so he entrusted all that
he held dear to his room-mate.
After he had been gone for
about three months he wired his
chum as follows: .
“I have had only one letter from
my girl since 1 left. Are you
looking after her as you prom
ised?”
Promptly the message was an
swered:
“Sure 1 am. Six evenings in
the week. What else can you
ask?”

writes: “We think Foley Cathar
tic Tablets are the best liver pill
we ever got hold of, as they do
not nauseate or gripe, but act
freely on the liver. Any one in
need of a liver pill, if he once tries
them, would not be without
them.” Recommended for indi
gestion, constipation, bloating,
sour stomach, gas on the stomach,
bad breath or other condition
caused by clogged or irregular
bowels. Stout persons like the
light, easy, buoyant feeling they

The true law, everywhere and
at all times, delighteth in the pay
ment of just debts. Blessed is
the man that pays. The practice
of paying promptly, and to the
last cent, tends to the cultivation
of one of the most excellent traits
of human character. If the debt
ors were guided by their own
true interest, on an enlarged scale,
they would be even more clamor
ous to pay than creditors are to
receive; lenders would be more
frequent than calls for money.
Debt is the source of much un
happiness. The best possible
thing to be done with a debt is to
pay it. —Judge Logan E. Bleckley.

Ever taste
Virginia sunshine?
YOU did—if you ever smoked
a cigarette of Virginia tobacco.
Virginia, you know, is “the
tobacco man’s tobacco”, because
it gives to a cigarette the one

—that refreshing liveliness called
“character”! And smokers want
“character” above all else.
Piedmonts have “character” in
