Mr. and Mrs. Robert Wynn and Miss Florence Wynne and Don Marlin expect to motor to Barnes ville Monday Miss Lillian Lewis will return witli them for a visit. Prof. \V W. Hooten left Satur day for Jonesboro, where he will have charge of the singing for the revival servic s conducted there this week by Rev. C. M. Dunaway and Rev. Win. J. Deßardeleben. Smith Her daughter, Mrs Otis Wells of Lu ella, is with her this week. Mrs. Gordon Patrick spent one afternoon in Jackson last week, There are about twenty cases of measles in this community. Mrs. Thomas Gilbert has been quite sick for some time. Hope for her a speedy recovery. Mr. and Mrs. Perry Williams •are receiving congratulations upon Lie arrival of a little daughter on the fourth of April. Mr. D. L. Patrick Jr., of Giiffm, spent Sunday with Mr. L. W. .Pullin. Miss Annie Pullin is visiting in McDonough. Mrs. W. S. Patrick and children spent lasi week in McDonough. }.]•. Patrick came up and spent the week end. Mr. and Mrs. L. W. Pullin spent Sunday afternoon with relatives in Griffin, Mr. Elmo Hammock of ‘Barnes \ilie, was called home Sunday on account of sickness among rela tives here. Barnett and family and Mr. Tom Medlock spent Sat urday night with Mr. G. N. Foster and family. Mr. and Mrs. W. M. Patterson spent Friday night with Mr. and Mrs. T. J. Sims. We deeply sympathize with the bereaved family of Mr. Newt Bar nett’s in the loss of their little ten year-old dau hter. Ida Mae. Mrs. S. M. Coker went to Atlan ta last week to attend the funeral of her sister, Mrs. Steward. Her sister, Mrs. Gibson, returned with her and spent a few days. Mrs. D. Mrs. Emily Mitchell at Mount Zion. Misses Lera and Elree Pattillo, of Atlanta, spent the week-end here, the guests of their grand parents, Mi. and Mrs. C. W. Sock ' well. Mrs. Mary Barton and daugh ters, of Morrow, were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Jun Clarke Sun day. The school children enjoyed an Easter egg hunt at the school house Friday evening. After all the eggs were found, the children went into the school room and enjoyed a very interesting spell ing match. Mesdames Joe H 'yes and Hiram Sprayberry, spent Saturday after noon with Mrs. Jack Stewart. Mr. Bob Sock well of Brushy Knob, spent Thursday night with Mr. W. Sockwell and family. South Avenue. A meeting of the Northern Di vision of the Henry County Sun day School Association was held at Bethel church Sunday. Quite a good crowd was present, al though a good many were no. doubt kept away on account of, the rain early in the day. Some splendid talks were made by Mes srs. G. W. Riley, W. W. Milam, Ed Cowan and Jack Gardner. Mr. Walker, County President, arrived at noon, and talked very interest ingly of the Sunday school work in the afternoon. Mrs. W. N. South was the spend the day guest of Mrs. T. W. Peter man Monday. Mr. G. C. Clark, Mrs. W. H. Clark and daughters, Misses Snow die and Chit tie, spent Monday near Salem with Mr. and Mis. Sam White. Mr. W. H. White and son, Cole man, motored to Atlanta Wednes day morning. Mrs. Ford from White House, was the guest of her daughter, Mrs. Fred Howell, last week. Mr. Jesse Jones, is who attending a business school in Atlanta, spent the week-end with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Seaborn Jones.
