PROGRESS NEWS NOTES.
(Last Week’s Items.)
When God our Father speaks,
Tho in a simple way.
» If we obtain the blegsing,
We simply must obey.
The neaer to God we live, the
more we reflect His eternal beau
ty.
If we could see our own faults
half as easy as we can see the
faults of our neighbors, there
wouldn’t be near so many self-ex
alted folks in the world.
Let us not be too hasty and fast
to condemn and pass sentence on
people. A lot of us are not neces
sarily obliged to be fools because
we look as if our heads had grown
between two rails.
There are three crowds in this
world that I have very little pa
tience with, an 1 they are namely,
these hear-say crowds, and these
booze fighting crowds, and worst
of all these rule or ruin crowds.
If you want something good and
wholesome to read, something
that will take the kinks out of —
and knock the wire edge off that
old rusty brain o’ yorn—and keep
you from being green as grass,
why take The Weekly. It’ll do it.
Say, people, let us examine our
selves, then ask ourselves this
question. What kind of a world
would this world be if everyone
in it was just like me ?
Jenks —You know, John, I don't
see how people ever heard or
knew anything before newspapers
and telephones came about.
John —Hush, you forgot the
women. (

By the way, The Weekly gets
more attractive from time to time.
It put on Punch and Judy last
week. I’ll tell vou, folks, if you
don’t take it you don’t miss noth-*
ing—or, you don’t you know what
you are missing, I meant to say.
Well, mistakes are not hav*stacks.
We all make them.

When you feel too tired to
work, when dark puffs appear
under your eyes, when you wake
up weary, with backache or pains
in sides and loins, when muscles
and bones ache, when you suffer
rheumatic twinges, when lumbago
puts you down, then you know
the kidneys are weakened or dis
ordered. Mrs. T. J. Bucknell,
Route 1, Hardy, Neb., writes: “I
am recovering from an attack of
lumbago, by the aid of Foley
Kidney Pills. They surely have
helped me.” The McDonough

If you are indifferent, if you
think hard work beneath you,
then you are a hopeless proposi
tion. Influential friends may in
deed answer your call and do
their utmost to keep you retained
in the position you longed to se
cure, but if you have not develop
ed or tried to develop the “talent”
you were so sure you possessed,
your time is short in the “big”
place, and the quicker you awaken
to this fact the better it will be for
you and all concerned.
To Guard Against Influenza.
Don’t let the dreadful influenza
get you. If you have even the
slightest cough or cold, better be
gin using Foley’s Honey and Tar
at once. Henry Willis, Sandy
Point, Texas, is one of many thous
ands who consider this remedy
“just fine.” He says: “I suffer
ed severely with a bad cough ; aft
er using four or five dollars worth
of different medicines decided to
try Foley’s Honey and Tar. One
bottle gave relief. Best medicine
I ever used.” Contains no opiates.

The hog that takes two or three
months to get on full feed never
brings you a profit.
When you are ready to put your
shoals on feed, begin with the B.

Figure the average feeding and
