66 Years Success The Wonderful Record of Dr. Thacher’s Liver and Blood Syrup. Those medicines which live for even a quarter of a century are exceptional, and continuous use for over two-thirds ©f a century is indisputable evidence of wonderful merit. Dr. Thacher’s Liver and Blood Syrup came into existence in 1862, and from that time to the present it has grown in the confidence and estimation of its yearly increasing number of users. Through all these years it has steadily grown in popular favor. Its wonderful building up power is shown in the experience of Mrs. C. E Chadwick, Beale, Ala. “I was all run down in health,” she says. “Weighed only 104$ pounds and getting worse every day. I began the use of Dr. Thacher’s Liver and Blood Syrup and today, lam thankful to say, I am in perfect healta and weigh 155 pounds. I attribute my gocd health to the use of that most wonderful medicine. I firmly believe H ere are numerous suf fering people that could be sound and well by the use of Dr. Thacher’s Liver and Blood Syrup.” If you need a 1 onic, or a blood puri fier; u your liver is out of order, your stomach troubles you, or you are con stipated, have i:uiiges!ion or dyspepsia, try Dr. Thacher’s Liver and Blood 6yrup. Mrs. Robert Wynn spent a few days last week in McDonough with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. T. H. Stallworth. Mr. and Mrs. H. L. Gray spent Friday with Mr. and Mrs. Lon Cawthon. Mr. Lon Cawthon has been very ill with hiccoughs. He was 57 years old, leaves a wife and five children, three boys and two girls : Mrs. Kate Banks, Mrs. Otis Austin, Clyde, Glenn and Worth. He join ed the Methodist church when young. In the-religion of this de parted brother there was a beauti ful consistency, and as a just con sequence he enjoyed, m no ordi nary degree, the affectionate con fidence of his brethren. He had “fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before,” and regarded the Lord .Tesus Christ as his “wis dom and righteousness and sancti fication and redemption but he was deeply impressed with the im portance of personal consecration to Him in Whom he trusted. As Christ died for him, he felt it his duty to live for Him. He loved the assembly of the saints, and de lighted to mingle in the worship of God’s sacred temple, and when in health, and not necessarily pre vented, his seat in the sanctuary was never vacant. In the prayer meeting, the ,Sunday school, he was prompt and punctual, and by his energy and cheerfulness en oouraged others in their “work of faith and labor of love.” How incomprehensible are the dealings of the Great Author of our existence. There was not, per haps, a member of the church whose life and health would have contributed more to its welfare than Mr. Thurman's, judging, as we do, by his ability and disposi tion to be useful. But God’s thoughts are not as our thoughts, and “frowning providence” does not, necessarily, imply a want Of wisdom or a want of love. Of one thing the Christian feels assured, and faith lays hold upon the declaration that ‘ all things work together for good to them that love God.” One by one we are passing out; let’s he ready.
