Last Week's Items.
Mr. and Mrs. L. W. Pullin spent
Saturday in Griffin shopping, and
Sunday the guests of the former’s
parents.
Miss Minler Patrick is ill at the
home of her aunt, Mrs. Jerry
Welden.
Mrs. W. S. Patrick and children
spent a tew days with Mrs. B. F.
Collins near Dailey’s mill recently.
School has opened at Beulah
and Delta Grove.
Mr. Joe Combs was taken sud
denly ill while on a visit to T. S.
Patrick last week. He was taken
to Locust Grove and is improving,
to the delight of his many friends.
Mr. Tom Hammock and family
and Mr. Oscar Sims and family
are enjoying their homes —bright-
ened with a new lighting equip
ment.
Little Georgia Virginia Patrick
is taking music lessons in Griffin,
going every Saturday.
On Saturday afternoon, Nov. 8,
Master William Patrick entertained
his young friends in honor of his
seventh birthday. Outdoor games
were enjoyed. Each guest found
a bag of peanuts hidden among
the flowers. The house was deco
rated with yellow and white
chrysanthemums. The birthday
cake with its seven candles formed
a pretty centerpiece for the dining
table where ice cream and cake
were served. The cutting of the
cake caused much merriment.
Little Miss Julia Pullin cut the
dime, Andrew Welden the button,
and John Bell Wallace the thim
ble. Those present were: Little
Misses Margaret Bowden, Julia
Pullin, Georgia Heiflin, Edna
Pullin, Marv Emily Wallace and
Eleanor Patrick; Andrew Welden,
Milton Patrick, Alton Pullin, James
Wallace, John Bell W,iliac , Stor
ma,n Heiflin, Clements Patrick,

and William Patrick.
