In Loving Memory. One of the very saddest deaths in our community and church was on October 23rd, when George Welch departed this life for one more infinitely, more glorious and brighther, where our Savior had prepared him a home where He had gone on before and was waiting for George in the presence of our God and Father. When we think and wonder why our friend went to sleep not to awake, we can thank God for having known such a man and friend. Sick for five weeks, never com plaining, gentle and quiet all the time with everyone, we know it was only a pleasure to wait on him. Everything was done for him that could be. Nothing was left undone, and vet with all efforts of patient loving kindness God called and George answered Always of a quiet disposition, he was a home loving man and there he was always to be found. To the loved ones behind we can sympathize. But as our hearts are full we can say: “Be of good cheer, for an all-wise One knows and understands, and we’ll find him in that beautiful country somewhere with the dear and loved ones gone on before watch ing for us there.’' A Friend. Griffin. The news of the death of Mr. Tom Elliott brought sadness to our household, as he was held in high esteem by every member of our family. We appreciate his life for the influence we believe it had on the life of our boys. Not only ours, but many others. How often have we heard strong men, and what we often would call bad boys, say they wished they were as good a Christian as “Uncle Tom” Elliott. It was our boys who worked land adjoining his yard for seven years, thereby making it convenient to get water from his well. He always had a kind word for them and a hearty welcome. Many are the times he would give them fruits which he chanced to have when they were tired and sometimes hungry. Never in all those years did they hear a naughty word from him. When one wanted wise counsel they knew that he was ready to give wise counsel. “So inasmuch as ye did it unto one of the least of these ye did it unto the Mas ter.” He is gone, but his life will live on for ages to come. Peace to his ashes. Mr. L. E. Oliver, Mr. and Mrs. L. C. Killebrew, Cleo and Troy Blankenship motored to McDon ough last week. Mr. Oliver and Troy remained a week, going to Porterdale to visit relatives. One Two. Eight Children Had Croup. “I have eight children and give Foley’s Honey and Tar to all ot them,” writes Mrs. P. Catarrhal Deafness Cannot Be Cured by local applications, as they cannot reach the diseased portion of the ear. There is only one way to cure catarrhal deafness, and that Is by a constitutional remedy. Catarrhal Deafness Is caused by an in flamed condition of the mucous lining of the Eustachian Tube. When this tube is inflamed you have a rumbling sound or im perfect hearing, and when it is entirely closed. Deafness Is the result. Unless the inflammation can be reduced and this tube restored to its normal condition, hearing will be destroyed forever. Many cases of deafness are caused by catarrh, which is an Inflamed condition of the mucous sur faces. Hall’s Catarrh Medicine acts thru the blood on the mucous surfaces of the system. We will give One Hundred Dollars for any case of Catarrhal Deafness that cannot be cured by Hall’s Catarrh Medicine. Cir culars free. All Druggists. 75c. F. J. CHENET & CO., Toledo. O. A FAMILY MEDICINE In Her Mother’s Home, Says Thia Georgia Lady, Regarding Black- Draught. Relief From Head ache, Malaria, Chills, Etc. Ringgold, Ga. — Mrs. Chas. Gaston, of this place, writes: “I am a user of Thedford’s Black-Draught; in fact, it was one of our family medicines. Also in my mother’s home, when I was a child. When any of us child ren complained of headache, usually caused by constipation, she gave us a dose of Black-Draught, which would rectify the trouble. Often in the Enring, we would have malaria and chills, or troubles of this kind, we would take Black-Draught pretty reg ular until the liver acted well, and we would soon be up and around again. W r e would not he without it, for it certainly has saved us lots of doctor bills. Just a dose of Black- Draught when not so well saves a lot of days In bed.” Thedford’s Black-Draught ha 3 been In use for many years in the treat ment of stomach, liver and bowel troubles, and the popularity which it now enjoys is proof of its merit.
