THOMAS E. WATSON AND THOMAS W. HARDWICK TO SPEAK AT UNION CITY JULY 4 Union City, Gi., March 21.—Sen ator Thomas £. Watson and Gov ernor Thomas Vv\ Hardwick wHA will be the principal speakers at! Union City on the fourth of July, at the biggest fish fry and chicken feast ever given in Georgia,, ac-1 cording to plans of the Campbell county Fanners’ Union and other citizens of' the county. Both di> tinguished Georgians have accept- i ed the invitation to deliver ad j dresses. ' A huge tank has been built at Union citv in which 10,000 river catfish will be fattened for the feast, and the farmers are raising j more than a thousand chickens to j be fried for the occasion. Charles S. Barrett, president of the National Farmers’ Union, and other men of national prominence, will be among the honored guests. The hosts extend an invitation to the “state-at large” to be their; guests on this occasion. The Eastern Sunday j School Div. Meeting The Sunday school meeting held 1 at Timberridge on last Sunday | was one of the best we have had j in the county in a long time. The i talks were appropriate and spirit- j ual. The thought that all church members are obligated by their church vows to attend the Sun day school services, was stressed by nearly speaker. The reports from every school was very good and I am proud to say that the Eastern division will report at the end of the year with almost 100 per cent from every school. The singing was splendid and uplifting. The Sharon S. S. quartet favored us with two songs and we enjoyed them so much. I am sure that all who were pres -4| enjoyed the meeting and went away feeling like they owe much to the S. S. influence. The Northern division will hold a meeting at Delta Grove, near Kelleytown, on the 2nd Sunday afternoon in April. Let’s all go and be in that meeting and cause that to be a time when God’s cause will be honored. T. J. Horton. You Just Try NR For That Indigestion The stomach only partly digests the food we eat. The process is finished in the intestines where the food i 3 mixed with, bile from the liver. It must be #iain to any sensible per on who realizes thi3, that the stomach, liver and bowels must work in harmony if digestive troubles are to be avoided or overcome. HENRY COUNTY WEEKLY. McDONOUGH GEORGIA. McDonough Gets State Aided High School It gives me much pleasure to announce to school officials, pa trons and school children.of the county, that through the influence of Prof. E. A. Pound, State High School Inspector, and the co-ope ration of Prof. Woodson and the graduating class of 1920 and the graduating class of 1921, 1 have succeeded in obtaining the State aid of $ 1 ;000 per annum for the McDononough High School de partment. As you may know, a law was passed in 1919 giving State aid to the schools carrying eleven grades, doing all required unit work with all laboratory work. However, no school carry ing eleven grades could get this aid until all counties having high schools carrying only ten grades had the first chance to qualify. At the end of a year, the time limit, tin re were only five counties which did not Qualify so 1 got busy at once and got Henry passed o.k. We shall begin at once to supply the Science department with the necessary equipment. Respectfully, T. J. Horton.
