Most people fall in love at sight
—with the dollar.
Confidence in the doctor is the
best part of the prescription.
Do as you would be done by and
you won’t “do” anybody else.
When a runner gets caught he
is something of a bum runner.
It keeps some people busy gath
ering up the beans their children
spill.
Never speak harshly of the one
( who is absent. Some one may
tell him.
If others knew us as we know
ourselves possibly they wouldn’l
know us.
Perk up, fellows! Dresses are
to be lowered again this season —
from the top.
The fellow who hits the pace to
day may be looking for what he
missed tomorrow.
Never abuse a man from whom
you borrow money. He may still
have a little left.
Some people find no difficulty in
getting rid of an unwelcome guest.
They begin to sing.
Very few people “die with their
boots on” in this generation.
Most of them wear shoes.
The world is getting wiser every
day. Most of the foolishness is
now pulled off at night.
Man pays for his sins here be
low, but the devil doesn’t give
him any credit on account.
King George is hard up for cash,
and the British public will cough
again. We’d admit it, too, if it
were not for the fact that our
wife would be iu at the coughing.

There are lots of good people
still left in this they
are accustomed to being left.
Matrimony is the logical state of
man and woman, but without
money it soon becomes a hellofa
state.
The wise man knows a foolish
thing when he hears it, but he
doesn’t always recognize it when
he says it.
Once we heard of a couple whose
married life was a dream of bliss
to the end. They died on their
honeymoon.
The honesty of some people is
dependent wholly upon what they
can not get away with without
getting caught.
If a fellow punches you on the
jaw you are perfectly justified in
pasting him one before turning
the other cheek.
We can not understand why so
many parents object to their chil
| dren bobbing their hair. It effects
quite a saving in soap.
The old time gentleman who
courteously lifted his hat to the
ladies is dead, but the hat still re
mains to remind us of what was
but is not.
When a bachelor hears an un
married woman say she is wedded
to her work he immediately sus
pects her of having designs upon
his meal ticket.
Warning has been sent out that
a nihilist drive is on in the United
States. If so we hope they keep
driving until they hit the ocean
and then forget to stop.
If the newspapers keep on grind
ing out “heroes” at their present
rate of speed it will soon be a
distinguished honor to bi referred
to as deficient in courage.
No we no longer print local
poems at space rates. We simply
hand the poetic gentleman a sharp
toothpick and invite him to fall
gracefully upon it and forget to
get up.

Camels are made for Men who
Think for Themselves
Such folks know real quality—and DEMAND it.
They prefer Camels because Camels give them the
smoothest, mellowest smoke they can buy—because
they love the mild, rich flavor of choicest tobaccos,
perfectly blended—and because Camels leave NQ
CIGARETTY AFTERTASTE.
Like every man who does his own thinking, you
want fine tobacco in your cigarettes. YouTl find it
And, mind you, no flashy package just for show.
ex * ra wra PP ef s! No costly frills! These things
don’t improve the smoke any more than premiums
or coupons.
• But QUALITY! Listen! That’s CAMELS!
