Salem Locals Quite a large crowd attended B. \. P. U. and Sunday school at this place. We welcome sunshine after so much rain. Many of the Salemites attended the commencement at Union Sat urday night. Mi s. T. S., Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Eiliott spent Sunday with Mr. I. W. Crumbley. Mr. Smith Steele and family motored to Jonesboro one day last week. Mr. Ralph and Billie Elliott and Howard Crumbley spent Sunday afternoon in Atlanta. Mr. Herbert Elliott visited the fair sex of Atlanta last Tuesday. Messers. J. C. and Homer Chafin called on their best Thursday and Sunday nights. Mr. Parks Moseley and J. P. Crumbley seems to have things going good down the road. Mr. and Mrs.|John Bryans has a hew baby boy. Mr. Fred Crumbley seems at lost since school broke. Among the visitors at B. Y. P. U. Sundav were Messers J. Harper Ray Pear and Walter Simms. Mr. John Moss tied his fliv at his post that he had been absent from a long time. John is wear ing a big smile and says things is going his way. Mr. J. R. Elliott and family spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Brannan. The program at Julia Ga. was enjoyed by all present. Mrs. W. J. Elliott spent Monday in Atlanta. Mr. H. B. Elliott called on his best girl who lives around Wood land Sunday right. A few B. Y. P. U. members at tended preaching at Timberidge Sunday. Mr. Howard Crumbley and A. J. Steele called on their best Friday night. A few from Salem attended services at Ozias Sunday. Mr. J. C. Brannan has accepted a position at Mr. Speers printing office. Mr. Thomas Ferguson and W. P. Wilson spent Thursday with the latters parents. Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Hinton and two daughters attended Sundav school at Salem. Messers T’ravie Eiiioii and Horace Chafin attended business around Salem Sunday. Mr. Hughlev Chafin and his best girl was out riding around Sunday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Willie Stanton were the guest of Mr. and Mrs, W. H. Morris Sunday. Miss Tempie Green were the guest of Miss Frances and Sara Oglesby Sundav. Mr. Paul Wilson spent the week end at home. Miss Elizabeth Smith spent Sun day with Miss Mattie Lou Oglesby. Misses Ella Mae Oglesby and Ellen Smith were at Union Satur day night. The chicken and egg shower at Julia Thursday night was en joyed by a large crowd. Mr. and Mrs. Moody Smith and Rev. and Mrs. L. D. King were the guest of Mr. and Mrs. Sim Smith Sunday. Miss Ruth Morris spent Satur day night with Miss Tempie Green. Mr. K. Cowan was around here Sunday afternoon. Mr. Parks Moseley and his girl was at Timberidge Sunday night. Mr. R. H.
